Did you catch the little critter?
Did you check the Cabin Filter?

While we have a nearly certain (only) entry point from the cowl.
I would love to know (What is it they smell to LEAD them into the cowl and into the cab?)

Remnants of Fast Food? / Snacks?
I am thinking it may be the filter element itself or the exposed wiring, as all the engine harness wiring are encased in Harness Tape.

They have to work to get into the cowl, something (Unknown) is getting their sniffer's attention.

Was up at my hunting cabin and a mouse got into the cab and crapped all over the seats and chewed on some napkins.

Has the peppermint and using the wire mesh on entry points to the cab working for you guys?

Time to check your air filter and your wiring under the hood.

This is what I used. One in the engine compartment next to the battery and one in the cab. I used a peppermint oil and soak the cotton balls with it. I drilled a holes in the metal can from Amazon and bought a small magnet at Harbour Frieght for the engine bay.

Curious - how often do you have to freshen up the peppermint in the cotton balls?

That is where I fall down - I forget to do that - I guess I should probably put a reminder on my phone.

Once every two months. Or only when I remember it. Most of the time I forget as well.

Warm, dry, dark, plenty of nesting material, and safe from predators. Paradise for a mouse.
They are constantly searching out places like that.
