Yeah boy, I've had them critters in several cars. Mine stays in a detached garage, and I either put out traps, or mice bait. Then hope. Just make sure if you put our bait your pets can't get to it. Good luck. "I hate meeces to pieces". :)

Fricken thing chews up my battery cover and makes a bed in my glove compartment. Does anybody have this issue? Does anybody know how it's getting into the cab?
Thanks
Had them chew on my battery and eat seeds on it. Heard it has something to do wit it being made of plant fiber

I'd have been tempted to remove the air filter and fire up the engine and slice and dice:crazy:

Those little babies look like the squirrel babies I knocked from a nest in a backyard tree this summer, had no idea there were babies in the nest , the mother squirrel was going bonkers and could only watch as my trusty cat finished off her brood.

I have used Fresh Cab in stored vehicles and it worked well (it was initially intended for farm equipment). It's basically just cedar shavings so next step is to just try those since they might be cheaper.

EDIT: I did some investigating and found lots of recognition that cedar works to repel rodents. There were a few articles that said it didn't but I found a big rant from a place that breeds pet rats that screamed at people for using cedar shavings for cage bedding since it was so toxic to baby rodents. So there you go, get some cedar shavings, put them in cheesecloth pouches, and place them in spots in the vehicle.

BONUS: It's such a manly scent.

Did anyone discovery where they are getting in? I'm having the same issue - got dang mouse shredding stuff in the cab and no idea how it would have gotten in. I've got mouse bait blocks placed in several locations now, but would prefer to seal them out permenately! I would have thought a modern cab would have been better sealed.

If it's not air tight, you're not going to keep them out. They'll get through an area about the size of a dime; round, flat, or whatever.

I have found that fabric softener sheets placed under the hood and inside the cab keeps rodents out.
It would keep me out too; I hate doing laundry.
