It will be fine. Leave the hood closed. Now that I’ve done a few short trips of 15 miles one way, my dipstick level has risen.
Next time I go to Colorado or Vegas I bet the level will go back down.
Better MPGs in sport mode? Can anyone else confirm? Sounds unlikely.Run your truck harder and all the fuel will be ignited before it can get to your oil, sport mode is your friend and in reality gets BETTER mpgs than D , AND makes transmission clunks disappear... your truck will loveyou and you will love your truck !
I'm accounting for the fuel that doesn't go into your oil like it does in "D" when it's chugging at 1100 Rpms or already in 7th gear before I get all the way out of the garage , no way to confirm (because its BS on the milage part) but sport mode takes that low RPM rumble out of it , while it may it may improve mpgs to chug along like that, it makes everything else suck , I honestly don't see how anyone could stand to drive it like that , the truck hates it too , it wants to run...Better MPGs in sport mode? its a plasuible thought considering the fact you may be in a better power band for performanceBetter MPGs in sport mode? Can anyone else confirm? Sounds unlikely.
If i am motoring along in the green leafy 'burbs at 25-40 mph, I put it in Trailer Tow. It holds 1-2 gears lower, and is happier queuing up to a right-turn-no-stop intersection. You can shift TT in or out on the fly. 30mph 1100 rpm in 7th; ridiculous. I ran my Kenworth T-680 and Cummins 13 liter at 1200+ in town.I'm accounting for the fuel that doesn't go into your oil like it does in "D" when it's chugging at 1100 Rpms or already in 7th gear before I get all the way out of the garage , no way to confirm (because its BS on the milage part) but sport mode takes that low RPM rumble out of it , while it may it may improve mpgs to chug along like that, it makes everything else suck , I honestly don't see how anyone could stand to drive it like that , the truck hates it too , it wants to run...
I was at 19.9 before I went to all Sport, stayed about the same in Tow and now I'm at 19.3 ...
