This thread is a trainwreck lmao, idk what people don't get about wanting to regear. Pretty standard mod. OP, any updates or further luck on gears with the stock front diff? I'm currently running 33s, would like to go up to 35s, but am worried about the change to my final drive - I know the truck has the power and trans ratios to make it work for most, but I watched a video of a guy wheeling his Ranger with 35s and the stock gears and even in first gear low range, that trans was WORKING to get him moving over obstacles. I would be worried about transmission temps off-road, especially since there's no real trans cooler options yet that I'm aware of.

I hope someone makes something soon - The lack of gear options (or a way to swap a Bronco front diff) is making me seriously consider getting a JLU rubicon instead.

The response from engineers is really slow. Now sure why but I may just spend the money and see if it works soon.

I have a Ranger M220 now so I'll be regearing it at some point.

I don't remember if it was mentioned earlier or you already knew, but I'm seeing comments that the M190 has a welded ring gear and you'll need a new carrier to regear.

Only open front or rear have the welded ring gear.

That's great for ZR2 owners, but to stay on topic Ranger owners will need a new carrier, full stop.
Um, it's my topic. It's about gears. Not open or not. It's been established from the beginning the Ranger has open.

I can see why you've gotten the reception you have when you're a dick even to the people trying to help.

I'm out.

Well, I didn't bring up the topic of it being open or not. But trying to help you mean giving me solutions I didn't ask for? I'm not sure how much you've helped or added to the info on whether the front gears can be done other than you got yourself a rear end and about to do it. That's great but we already know the rear cam be done. But OK. Bye.
