You really shouldn’t have to use any special separator. That knuckle just needs a couple hard whacks with hammer to bust loose the balljoint. I’d suggest to make sure the lower control arm bolts on the frame are loosened because if they are not it will hold the arm in tension from the bushings...
Nice!! His works looks good! Yea I’ll let you know how the 4 link turns out. It may not happen until this winter as well. I’m on a 1” shackle. It’s a bds one I think. I honestly want to lower the ride height down some. I want it to be a low slung whoop eater!
Yea I’m not real happy with my deavers. Don’t get the travel I want out of them and the shocks are fairly harsh on the street anymore. They feel pretty good offroad but I want a better ride on road. I’ve pieced together all the parts for the 4 link and going to cut it all out on a buddies laser...
Yea that’s me. It is wide! Lol thanks man. Yea my build been a slow one but it’s getting there. Going to try to start on the back soon. Planning a 4 link with coilover and bypasses and fuel cell out back. We will see how that goes.
Yea my fenders have been trimmed about 2” or so so I have no rubbing issues with the 35s. Thanks man! Been working on the truck a lot. I’ve got new coilovers and hyd bumps to try to install this weekend. Hoping to be able to squeeze out close to 16” of travel out of the front.
as for the rear...
I removed my sway bar a long time ago and haven't looked back. truck still drives nice. I do notice some extra body roll but have grown to how it fells. I still take highway merge ramps at 65mph without issue. I've swerved at speeds to avoid stuff in the road without any issues as well. I'm...
Nice looking truck. How long did you have to wait for the fiberglass? I've been wanting to get ADV glass but with all the stuff going on with them right now I'm a little hesitant. I've got a 5.5" over front end on my truck. Just did a bronco rear axle swap with 4.70 gears on 35s. I like the new...
i am on LT now but I’ve been running the 700 for a while now before the LT. IMO the heavy spring felt a lot better. Stopped some body roll and the front dive decreased under braking.
Im on Icon coliovers and went with a 700 pound spring. I have a winch and tube bumper on the front. For the icons I feel the 700 rides pretty good and stopped some of the front diving under braking.
Yea I’ve gotta get fiberglass!! I’m hoping 6” will cover it lol ? but I’ve seen pics with someone with 6” glass on +3 kit and 0 offset and it sit pretty flush. Yea that’s how I ended up doing my bumper. I still need to add the actual skid to it. I wanted to protect that radiator that hangs so...
I know this is kinda old now but wanted to show my truck. I’ll make a new post with it all later. I got with Wicked Creations who makes some 3.5” and 5” wider arms for the bronco. Got them to test fit the 3.5” arms on my truck. They machined some additional spacers for the upper arms to get the...
If you haven't got it figured out by now, since this is about a month old, I can count my stock shaft once I'm home from work. I just had to replace mine yesterday since I shattered a CV
I'm pretty sure the bearing style has the correct spline count for those shafts. I've seen on other post that the tripod and 8 ball bearing cv's are different in that aspect. I'm sure baja kits built the axles for the 8 bearing style cv
ADV for sure on the fiberglass. That's the best looking one IMO. I'll be going long travel in the next couple weeks.
I pulled the liners out and i trimmed and ground down that lip. If I bottom the front out the tires still rub the structure up there. I also cut the bottom of the bolts that...
Anytime I'm going offroad traction control off, then advance trac off. I'm normally in sport mode with me shifting the gears in manual mode. I don't usual mess with the terrain managment because the all want to be in 4wd. I stay in 2wd until I actual need 4wd. I slide and drift corners very...
