You don't have to manually shift to keep it out of 9 or 10 gear. You can hit the +/- to lock out 9 and 10 if you're only going like 60mph.

But on your post, I'm not 100% on it but I'd be willing to put money on it. The bronco and ranger diffs as far as internals are going to be the same. As far as the M190 front and M220 rear. Obviously, some bronco models have the M210 front option(which will bolt into the ranger). I can't see ford/spicer changing the internals between the bronco/ranger for the same axles. I will be changing gears out in mine since I've went to 35s. If I can find the M210 I'm just going to make that swap but if not, I will order the gear sets labeled for the Bronco M190 when I do regear.
id love to see you make this work. So far, everything I’ve seen has been contrary to what you’re saying. The M210 doesn’t bolt in the Ranger. There is a bracket that is flipped 180 degrees. I know TXBronco bought the M190 from a local guy who did the FDU swap and is trying to figure out how to make it work, but they haven’t yet.

It's auto. I don't want to push buttons to manually shift. The defeats the point of having an automatic. Again, gear swap is the point of the thread.
I understand the point of your thread. I'm just saying you don't have to manually shift. You just hit the - while in D and it won't allow the trans to shift higher than what's indicator in the cluster. Trans still shifts like normal but if you hit the - 2 times where 9 and 10 are no longer indicated the trans won't shift past 8... no manual shifting. But hope you find what you're looking for. If you do before I decide to order gears that will be cool but if not I'm just going to order bronco m190 gears and swap them. I can't see any reason why they would be different.

I've seen about that bracket needing to be flipped 180. When I find one I can buy I'm going to dive into it. Idk when that might be but it's on my list lol.

Pushing buttons is manually shifting... I'm not interested in locking out gears. It's not automatic if I need to push buttons to lock out gears and then push buttons again to up shift. And I know exactly how the transmission works. I'm not looking to manually shift.

The only one where you can flip the bracket is the full tilt aftermarket Dana M210. That's several thousand dollars for the unit.

Alright dude. I guess you're just being somewhat difficult now. Locking out gears and manually shifting are different. But you do you and let it lug around in 10th going 50mph.

Then you explain what manual shifting is on an automatic. In case you missed a lot of the thread I'm not looking for a solution of "locking" gears constantly and unlocking them. Again not looking for your solution. GEAR SWAP is the subject of the thread. You're being obtuse.

If you put it in sport and then press the +/- then yes you are "manually" shifting. If you keep it in drive and are in traffic only going 60mph and don't want it shifting into 9 or 10 to keep your rpm's up so its not "lugging" then you can press the - to make it only shift up to 8.. The trans is still shifting like normal. You are not having to manually shift it but it only shifts to the highest gear that's available. i know you're not looking for any solution other than regearing. But you've been offered temperary solutions to prevent the "lugging" until you decide on ordering the parts for regear. It might not be the solution you're wanting right now but it would keep from lugging. You're acting like you would have to constantly be shifting it yourself.

Everytime i start my truck I always hit the buttons so it shows what my current gear is anyways. If I'm driving around town i take 9 and 10 out the shift pattern and don't choose those until i know I'm going to be on the highway driving 70+mph.

Whether I had 4.56 gears or stock, I couldn't stand driving around town in 10th gear.

You're trying to using semantics. If you need to push buttons to lock gears and then push buttons to unlock gears you're manually doing something. IE: manually shifting. Traffic on the freeway here constantly varies between 50-70. IE: I would be constantly locking and unlocking gears. With my hand. IE: manually whether I'm in sport or drive.

Alright man. I guess until someone buys the gears and tells you if they work or not, you can continue lugging around everywhere. Idk if you're just lazy or just difficult. It takes nothing to click a button when needed. my hand is normally on the shifter anyways. I don't like lugging and with the heavier 35s I put on, it's a little worse that the 33s I had. I'm normally manually shifting in S anyways because I don't like the truck skipping 2nd gear around town.

Completely missing huge portions of the thread. I don't care what anyone else is doing. I don't want to use your solutions. I'm not asking what other people are doing. Period. The point of the thread is GEAR SWAP. Why do you feel like you need to tell me how I don't want to drive? Again you're being obtuse. It's a bloody automatic. That means I like to put it in drive and let the transmission do the work. Not keep pushing buttons to lock or unlock. Is that clear enough? You're the one being difficult in understanding this. Holy cow. Stop with your suggestions that I'm not asking for.

I know you're point of the thread. Order the parts and install them. Simple solution. Until then enjoy lugging around.
