Wow, you are quite judgemental about people you don't know. For one, industry would benefit greatly without government intervention. History proves it. Musk makes money in mutliple ways, not just EV's. Subsidies are probably just a bonus. And, the only deduction I take is the standard deduction. I am a charitable guy, but not to the point where it outways the standard. Who does?
I despise paying taxes because I know a lot of it will be wasted. Like billions of assests left in Afghanistan, paying for abortions, paying for baseless investigations into innocent ex-presidents, paying for the care millions of illegals that to effortlessly cross the border, paying for gender affirming care in schools and military, and on and on and on.
I want my taxes to pay for necessary stuff, like a competent military, high-tech national defanse, safe highways etc.
Yea and I just don't like paying for anything! So I just follow the examples of our leaders…

So in another 5 years EV’s will be considerably less than ICE vehicles.
You should buy a bunch of EVs now before the price goes down and let us know all about it.

Back on topic, anyone else have a taste for pb&j? ?

Every time my wife bakes a fresh loaf of Italian bread :inlove:. We make the best elderberry jelly. I think the grid will go down before before EVs hit affordable prices. Looking forward to my first garden tomato sandwich later this week.

If I don't have leftovers to bring to work, I make a pb&j. Yes I get made fun of, but man it's hard to beat a pb&j. I just laugh as I eat my lunch that's delicious and worth maybe a dollar while they all go to chipotle for $10 each day.

Move to AZ Ed. You can bake bread in the cab of your Ranger if you just park it outside.

Don't give politicians ideas. Turn your EV into a easy bake electric oven  .

What a bunch of nay sayers!

Forget about Ford EVs, Ford is going to be blasting all others out of the water with all their profits from:

back on topic, folks can sleep easier now that this has been settled :

With so much uncertainty in the world, we’re happy to report that there’s finally clarity regarding one of life's bigger questions: who owns the trademark to “Taco Tuesday.”

Farley thought it would be a walk in the park to replicate and outdo Tesla, as simple as investing billions of Ford's $$ and thinking there would be mass market demand for an all electric F-150 . His legacy will be defined by this pic

Yeah, I needed a commuter CAR for work and Ford quit making them. Honda and Toyota were out of them, so I looked at Hyundai, and I'm glad I did. I picked up a 2022

Then throw in the greedy dealerships that instantly did a "market adjustment" that weirdly enough, was the exact amount of the rebate. That turned me off to buying anything else made by Ford until they do direct to consumer sales. I've had 4 cars, and 9 trucks by Ford in my life so far.
And toss in states like Florida that are outlawing direct to consumer sales, except by big donors interestingly enough....

According to Google the answer is
To start, the legal owner of Taco Tuesday® is actually Taco John's, a popular Midwestern chain of Mexican restaurants. This sounds pretty straight forward on the surface, but there's a wide variety of other factors that need to be considered. Well, isn't Taco Tuesday just a common phrase?

When I keep seeing and reading articles like these (and the one I posted yesterday) is it really that hard to see where the problem lies?

First they ditched all their cars (except the Mustang) and now they're putting just about all their eggs in one basket with EV's. As most can figure out having up to $10,000 price cuts isn't because these EV's are selling well, it's the opposite. Sadly, Farley is going to take this company into the ground. Of course not before getting himself a huge payout I'm sure.

:stop: STOP trying to be like Tesla (or anyone else) and go back to what made you #1 years ago. Selling QUALITY Ford vehicles at a reasonable price.

As a person that grew up in a Ford family and have had more Ford vehicles than any other brand , it's sad to see the current state of the company and direction it seems to be headed. I have had far fewer issues from my used Ford vehicles over the years than the other brands and (knock on wood) I've never had a warranty issue from any Ford that I purchased new. So far the Bronco has been great but it's the 1st new Ford that I've had doubts about. I still drive my '91 Ranger about 3k per year and it has over 330k now with just basic maintenance over the years. As a $7800 purcase when new I have definitely got my moneys worth outta that one. I canceled my Lightning reservation after 18 months of waiting and after Ford increased the price $7500 in that period of time. To me it seems they raised the price to pocket the $7500 EV credit for themselves and now they are lowering the price as the EV credits are running out. Lately Ford (Farley) and Ford dealerships in general have just been putting a bad taste in my mouth that I may never be able to get rid of. How the Bronco performs will probably be a deciding factor on purchases going forward for myself and immediate family.

Scrap yards will be full of EVs when something else comes along that wasn't shoved down our throats. May be hydrogen or who knows? If it weren't for government subsidies, all these wind generators & solar panels wouldn't exist. Hybrid cars make more sense with the technology we have today. There's nothing "green" about any of it.

I agree Benny. Like you I've tried all the Big 3 and a few others and have primarily owned Fords most of my life. Almost a dozen F150's which never had any recalls or were ever in the shop except for regular maintenance. Even my '19 Ranger was great sans the HVAC box but even that didn't really bother me because living here it's a 5 minute (twice a year) dyi fix. I'll admit I was scared to get another Ranger and if the ZR2 was on lots I probably would've given those a hard look. So far I'm more than happy with MP2 and the transmission shift WAY better stock than MP1 ever did and I have almost 7,000 miles on it now.

Sadly everything is driven even more now by profits and the shareholders demand higher returns now more than ever. Since Covid the whole world's been upside down and they (large & small companies) now get away with giving us sup par products. They use inflation to keep jacking up their prices and supply chain issues to keep building junk! Sorry but if that's really the case stop trying to build so many vehicles that you know you can not produce and produce efficiently. What ever happened to "don't bite off more than you can chew"? It use to be the business model to follow so you wouldn't piss off your customer base taking on to much work that you knew you couldn't do. Here's hoping your Bronco, my Tremor and everyone else's trucks hold up well and Ford gets their sh!yt together soon especially with the new 6G.
