I don't think I've listened to AM radian in 45+ years. The only reason I listened Toit back then was because I was in my parents car and that's what they were listening to. lol

I was using streaming stations for a while (iHeart/ Tine In) but Sirius gives me such a good price ($60/yr) so I've been using that for the past couple years.

If you read the fine print, they state through the 2024 models. Really think they threw this out there to get the heat off and will drop AM quietly, when nobody’s paying attention..

Best thing to do is call to cancel your subscription. Then they will be willing to haggle and make you a deal to stay. This happens with cable and satellite TV all the time.

Yeah, but you can get AM broadcasts from a lot further away. I guess you wouldn't have to be dependent on local stations if the shiite hit the fan. Plus you can get small battery powered radios cheap.

I start calling a week before my subscription is up and ask for the same promo I have. A couple times they said they couldn't do it so I wait another day and call again. Once it gets closer to your end date they seem to be easier to deal with. I just politely tell them to cancel it on the expiration date and they come back and give me the same deal again. They make up some "balance adjustment" so that'll cancel out the Music Royalty Fee. With this package I don't get the sports or the news channels but I never listen to those anyways. You still get all the music ones.

i use to have a 45 minute early morning commute as in no sun. I’d set the radio to AM and keep hitting seek to hear stations in other states

I listen to the Coast to Coast broadcast on my local AM station. They also carry it on FM, but AM range seems better.

Happy to see! I actually still listen to AM. Less often for sports since Vegas now has that on FM (smaller market than CA) but also, dare I say it? Politics. Happy to see it.
