How much lift up front is reasonable? Is 3" the limit?

I'm up 2" over stock up front but I'd like to go a little more.
Is 3" too much for the geometry? The Fox 2.0 says 2-3"

If you're not going to change anything else, yes.
JMHO from what I see and read but I think if you go more than 2.5" then you're looking at more parts like a diff drop bracket and extended HD upper control arms.
I had a 2.5" spacer lift on my old Sport Trac and the upper ball joints would last two years at most.

2 inch Eibach with 265/70/18 tires. I have left it at the setting they came at - 2 inches. Can go a little more if I want.

With lift only, it was good. Adding the tires with the lift is when it gets great.

im at 2.5 and would not suggest more unless you change other parts. at 2.5 in the front mine was aligned to factory specs etc. and nothing is crazy stressed.

Hey Kevin,

2” to 2.5” levels most. Personally, I think 2.5” puts it a touch above level. If you go to 3”, it will have a low rear end and you’d likely want to put a 1/2” or 1” spacer in the back.

You’ll also be in that weird grey zone where you might want to consider upgrading control arms for the sake of your ball joints as well as a diff drop to lessen those CV angles.

I’m not saying those additional changes are necessary at 3” but they’re definitely something to think about. You could simply run 32” tires with your current setup and achieve the same look. Although, you might need aftermarket crash bars.

Isn’t Ranger suspension fun? ?

I believe any higher than 3 in will require new upper arm controls but somebody more knowledgeable will come along eventually and pipe in.
at 2.5", my alignment adjustment is maxed out with factory UCA...over 3" might cause alignment issues and with rear load, it would have a nice Carolina Squat...

I was able to get mine aligned when I took it into a shop after I installed my new front springs and shocks. So either I was lied to or somehow specs vary from parts to parts for assembly? lmao
