Parked next to this RHD Hilux that looks to be an ex-fire service truck.

Overheard the guy while waiting. It's a '96 Hilux Deisel. He was having trouble passing emissions and needed a temp tag.

There are a lot of really neat 90's JDM and other market cars that are finally becoming legal to import.

In other news. 5 years worth of registration, tags, and sales tax on my new truck was cheaper than one years registration on the Ranger. Although we might have accidentally left out a zero on the purchase price.

Insurance will get set up tomorrow so when I got her home tonight she went straight into the garage so I wasn't tempted to drive it more.

It's a coffee can the previous owner bolted in place and put some rusty old tools into. It's my "emergency tool kit."

I'll probably be removing it. Just a bit too corny for me.

Stopped in at the grocery store fuel kiosk the other day while farting around. Kid pointed at my truck and asked "is that about to fall off?"

I forgot about the can for a second and had a moment of fear. When he explained he was talking about the can I think the color returning to my face was visible!
