Mine don't use adhesive. Rubber trim uses friction to stay put.
I checked out the Lund rubber seal in their installation instructions - it’s a much better design with that deep channel in the rubber seal. ?

Just FYI I believe LUND bought Bushwacker some time ago, so I think products are identical across the two name brands.

Finally got around to installing the RCI transmission and transfer skid plates since I did the gas tank skid this morning. I posted the gas tank skid pic in the wrong thread earlier so figured I post this one in the correct spot.

With all the talk of transmission issues, I’m slightly nervous of cooling issues now. ??‍♂

I see their addresses are the same (Buford, GA). I think I’ll buy a roll of that Lund rubber seal if I decide to put the flares back on. Thanks Jack.

After removing the Bushwackers and doing my best to buff out the scuffing from the fender flares, I’m going to take @Fordup ’s good advice and have some pros assess it. It has a few small door dings and there is a very good detailing shop a few blocks from me. They’re big on ceramic and paint correction and have a mobile PDR guy that comes to their place.

The truck looks good but it now makes the Westin side steps stick out like the rusted out sore thumbs they are :( so, I took them off too.?

Canadian winters are hard on things but I think Canadian winter road maintenance practices are even harder.

I’m not so sure I want to be dealing with blasting and painting these every couple of years so they are hanging from the rafters in the garage along with the Bushwackers.

As a result, True North is looking a little slimmer and trimmer…

I’m liking’ it. I don’t even mind the bro’ truck starter kit thing it has going on. ?

Thanks Mark - I wish it wasn’t so much work.

If the weather gets nasty right after I clean it up, I sure don’t like having to drive it out in the slop and it stays in the garage. It’s a good thing we have a second vehicle for those times….

Tooting around some more with covering up the "RAPTOR" lettering using 1/8th ABS. I think it will work out nicely in the end once its all in place.

I plan to give the entire thing a light spray of herculiner to give it the factory crinkle look, then after letting the herculiner flash over immediately hit it with matte black.

Hope to have it done by Thursday for sure.
Don't be disappointed, but we'll be in my wife's Escape for the drive. I was thinking a photo op of the trucks together would be nice, but I'm choosing the fuel savings of driving her car. ?

Dropped it off at the dealer for its first bit of warranty work (34000 miles). The cold side charge pipe is collapsing when under intake pressure. When/if this new one fails, I will get the Mishimoto hard pipes.

Just a reminder, without adding a replacement amber front side reflector this could result in a ticket and/or failing safety inspection if they are doing their job correctly.
cops here don't even ticket for pitch black tint front windows (illegal to have ay tints in this province). if ever they say something, Ill get some reflective tape cut on my sister's cricut and cut a 5mm wide strip!
