Mine is mounted on the cab which gives a great view back and sides. It does have a long cable that would reach the license plate. Mine is in the headliner and exits through the brake light.
I'm curious if the remote camera image is configurable so I can mount it upside down under my RTT?

Yes you can flip vertically and horizontally.

Excellent...seriously thinking I need this...I already have a Garmin dash cam but it only covers the front...my RTT blocks much of the rear view that my rear view mirror is next to useless...this would solve my rear view problem...

Do you know how long the cable is exactly? Not asking you to measure it lol...but if the manual states the dimension that would sure help...

Found the info...20ft with 33-50 optional cables...

One more question...where is the front lens relative to the OEM mirror when attached?

I see the overlap of the OEM mirror on the right side...is that because the front camera/lens prevents it from sliding further to the right?

I have the Blackvue DR900x-2-channel Plus......comes with a front and rear camera. I had it professionally installed for $200 and seems to work great.....nice and crisp and clear images.....and has a parking sensor and will record if the truck is parked and jolted or whatever......I got it with the Samsung 256MG Pro endurance card....installed since 09-01-2022 with zero issues.

Amazon.com: BlackVue DR900X-2CH Plus with 32GB microSD Card | 4K UHD Cloud Dashcam | Built-in Wi-Fi, GPS & Samsung PRO Endurance 256GB MicroSDXC Memory Card with Adapter for Dash Cam, Body Cam : Electronics

I've tried 3 different dash cams, thinkware u1000 a Kenwood and izeeker. The only one that has a clear enough pic to read a license number is the thinkware. Going to replace the others with thinkware U1000's IMO they are the best. A blurred license plate pic does absolutely no good. I've read blackvue is just as good, but I have no experience with them.
+1 on thinkware. Very happy with mine the video quality is very good. Have some awesome footage of the "beef" drivers in DC.

I currently have a Blackvue 900s hardwired along with a Blackvue B-124x battery pack and expansion battery pack. Got mine installed in the exact same location as Jackpot Tremor.

Form factor is nice and kinda discreet. You can setup the LEDs to be on or off if you want. The cloud service is $11.99/mo. They have newer models that don't require hooking up to a separate hotspot. You can use your trucks hotspot, but it only works while the truck is running.

I just ordered VIOFO a139 pro 3 channel. I wanted a 3 channel and better night time performance. The form factor isn't my favorite, but I have some ideas where to place it.

I like the rear view mirror type because it improves your back and side visibility. Records front and rear, and will record when parked if senses a shock.

Just installed this G850 and it's looking good...the 20 cable was just enough to run along the headliner's edge and through the cab vent behind the rear seat back...then it goes under my Diamondback cover and back out at the rear of the bed...then up and under the center of my RTT...WOW! What a view out the back! I now have total un-obstructed view towards the rear and I can tilt the view down via software to see that my Honda is secure on hitch carrier...rainy day project...finish up tidying up the cables and hardwire the unit tomorrow then pics...

I think you will love it, really eliminates the blind spots and like you see you can swipe the screen up and down to see high and low.

I think I am going to order this one. Is it off center from the rear view mirror where you mounted it? Do you have it to the right or left of the rear view mirror?
It is mounted on the passenger side of the mirror and I cropped the pic down. The full resolution is better.

I did the mirror cam as well. I 3d printed a mount for the camera. I'm at work but will get it over to thingiverse for downloading.

I wanted to use the factory camera, but I believe it uses differential video or balanced video (no ground reference, immune to interference. )

Add double stick tape and slide your camera in and stick it to the back window. No holes to drill, and the alignment is perfect! I played with 1,2,3 degree angles but zero worked best. I did one in my wife's F150 as well.

Just ordered it. That is exactly where I want it attached. Thanks!
