Thanks. I need some storage for basics like a small tool kit, small shovel, and jumper cables, etc. May have to look into this a Stage3 box.
I think you will really like the SwingCase. They make them for either side, and you can get them from Ford with the Ford logo for $10 more if that is to your liking.

I chose the passenger's side since I have a WolfHaus 12V connection on the driver's side to which I wanted to maintain easy access. You could also do both if you need more storage.

I am keeping a small set of tools, mechanic's gloves, a headlamp and ratchet straps in mine for now, but I am certain to add more to it until it is full.

My only complaint is that I wish that the semicircles on the lid were full circles to better hold cold snacks.

Side benefit to the damper. It was 17° the other day when I went to grab a bag of driveway salt at Lowe's. Good thing there's a Target in the same parking lot.

So I open the tailgate and it's slower than molasses and groaning and creaking the whole way down.

So slow that I could go get a Starbucks get a coffee and a muffin. I almost had the muffin completely finished by the time the tailgate was all the way down. =p

Lol, more anti-asian rhetoric.
Seen this fake/plastic rice claim many times and been proven false. Makes the frogs gay, too apparently.

Can't believe I logged out just to see that.
Hmm, not sure how offended I should be by all of this. The chip on my shoulder fell off once I was no longer a teenager but, you know, eggs and gay frogs are kind of triggering me (not even sure what trigger means, seems like it's what you say about anything you don't like - rather than just saying you don't like it?!?).

Anyway, I eat four eggs a day at least six days a week (and the seventh day is usually scrambled eggs that Kate makes).

So I have a hard time believing fake eggs would be real (except for some twisted vegan purpose) and just because I may, or may not, wear Speedos doesn't mean I'm a gay frog (not that I have anything against gay frogs - but I am from Québec).

My old timer idea of what a gay frog is - the ever happy Michigan J. Frog:

Thanks! Eruption Green is the limited Splash package color for the 2023 MY. Apparently very few dealers got them. I think it looks great!
I think it was limited to either 500 or 1,000 in that color, I can't recall right now.

Looks very nice.
Any chance you will be doing a write up of the installation?
I will, but let me know if you have any questions in the interim.

Installed a new SwingCase from @Stage3Motorsports which required me to make a trip to Lowe's to buy yet another tap to clean the holes that were filled with spray in bed liner.

Saw a guy pull up in this beautiful '53 Merc. I complimented the guy on how nice his car was when asking him what year it was. He said, "It's a 53," and stormed off without even saying "Thank you." So I guess owners of '53 Mercs are either a$$holes or just hate talking about cars. Whatever.

Those mid-fifties Merc's were way to cool! :sunglasses:

Tax return? Are you having shop do this? It's super easy if you're leveled and then it's a matter of crawling under with some socket wrenches and drain tray...

I missed the 4G part...
yep do it all myself. the 4g can still be worked on by average folks. tax return is buy all the stuff needed, parts, fluids etc.

1. Forscan ABS Bleed. WOW what a difference! It feels like it actually has brakes now! Kind of nuts that it would leave the factory with air in the line. I recommend everyone do this immediately. I used OBDLink EX.

2. Damper!

3. Neoprene Seat Covers (Universals from Amazon made by FH Group). They actually fit pretty darn well.

I had a strange issue after I had my windows tinted last weekend. It is legal to have your windshield tinted in Nevada if it is non-reflective and that is just what I did. (I only did 70 ceramic I'm not crazy.) Driving to work yesterday I noticed my lights were on and it was a typical sunny, cloudless day here. Great - I thought - I ruined the auto headlight function with my tint. After doing some research I found this should not be the case. Especially with such a light film. So I inspected the sensor on the dashboard and found that indeed some over-spray from the install soap was dried on there - but really not much. I wiped it clean and today my sensor could see the sun again. Everything back to normal and it had nothing to do with the new darkness.

I didn't think this was worthy of a thread but figured a PSA was due because this is something you could do to yourself just cleaning your windshield on your own.

For your time, a photo of the dirty, newly-tinted truck after I picked it up.

That amber grille accent compliments the blue very nicely...

You can bleed brakes with software?

No necessarily; I'm not bleeding the brake line or caliper, but the ABS module. In most vehicles today, bleeding the ABS module will require a scantool. Luckily with Ford, we have ForScan, instead of a 10K SnapOn.

Here's a thread on this topic.
