I just put Bilstein 5100's on that are more of a leveling kit than a lift. Brought the front up 2.5". I currently have the stock 265/60/18 on my 2019 and am thinking about going to a 275/70/17. Would that work with what I've got going on? Willing to cut crash bars and have some offset if necessary.

It’s almost time for my stock tires to be replaced on my 2020 XLT FX4. I have the 18 inch black OEM wheels. No lift no level. Stock tires are 265/60/18. Which is a 30.5 inch diameter tire Hoping to stuff, 265/70/18 falken wild peak‘s in there which say they are 32.6 inch diameter. I know I would be safe with a 265/65/18, which is a 31.5 inch diameter tire, but want to go as big as I can without any modifications. I have read through all the threads and I feel I have the right information. I just need some reassurance. Thanks y’all.

Jimbo,
My research showed that 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 is the biggest you can go on stock suspension. The link below should give you the maximum size for your 18's. I have stock suspension with 265/70/17's and they work great...no rubbing. I got under the truck and double checked for rubbing...none!

Too early to say accurately, just installed them on Thursday. I will update you after i have a fair comparison. The tread of these tires is only 7.5 inches wide, compared to 8.5 for a bfg or 8 inches on the new bridgestone destination XT. Also this particular duratrac is eurometric standard load, rather than being an LT metric tire. Eurometric duratracs come with a 50k mileage warranty.
Just going through this thread and was wondering if you ever figured the gas mileage difference with the 255/75r17

Installed some 265-70r17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W load range E on my Fx4. No lift or crashbar modification - all stock. Very happy and no issues with rubbing (although its close in the front on full inside lock)

p.s. ignore my dirty truck!

285/65/18 on 18x9 0 offset.

Looking pretty sick Mike. We’re going to have to start a new thread, “Biggest Tires, Negative Lift””
