I’ve got a 21 fx4 bought new. 46k miles zero issues. I’ve taken her all over and have been impressed with all capabilities except for gas mileage when loaded heavy.
High flow means more particles enter your engine. There are cool YouTube’s showing how bad they are at “filtering”. If you’re selling it soon why not. If you want it reliable no way.
21 xlt fx4 since new almost three years ownership and 38k miles. Zero problems so far. It’s been leveled on fox 2.0 has bigger ko2s and I take it off road frequently. Absolutely love this truck.

I took mine off and left it in the bed on a recent trip to big bend. The trailer hitch did make contact with some rocks. The tire could get cut or punctured in some situations. Any area that you need it will never be ideal. May as well make a bad situation a little easier. Takes less than two...
The summer can be miserably deadly. Spring or fall is best for sure. I’ve seen 90 in February and near freezing in April. Be prepared for a range of temps and you will love it.
Went to big bend again, Balmorhea and Monahans sand hills state parks as well. Did every mile of the dirt roads in big bend. Only saw four other vehicles out in the backcountry. We hit the perfect weather window, flowers were the best I’ve ever seen in the desert. Temps were low 80s-high40s...
There is a 6g forum for that.
I bought an unlimited mileage/lifetime warranty for mine. Unless it gets stolen or totaled I plan to use the hell out of said warranty.
I got the 12” HD universal bed rack. Love it! Received 6 days after I ordered it. Easy to assemble, works and looks great.
An included sticker or two would be cool.
