Is it me or does the base Ranger seem "too tall"

Couldn't do that as it would be considered an affront to "vertically challenged person's"...
A commission would have to be created and the bus-bench lawyers would be lining up and placing tv adds.....
Hey, maybe we can modify the truck to have a suspension like a city bus. It would lower to curb height to get in and out, then raise for normal driving.

Good input from all, Summit Racing had the Zee Dee step for $71 (like $20 cheaper than everyone else) so I ordered one along with a K&N filter to get over $100 for free shipping. 3 days after I got the truck I ended up picking up 475 lbs of freight that was supposed to be delivered to the house, didn't seem to squat it much but the pic isn't at a good angle.

Ordered the $20 plastic lettering kit from Amazon, works great. The Ford Accessory one is like $80

Lettering looks great and well applied!

I only got my Ranger to squat with a trailer with way too much tongue weight - probably had 1,500 to 2,000 pounds on it (enough for the front tires to lose traction backing downhill on a gravel driveway). o_O

PLUS side of a steep rake - easier to load dump stuff with it rolling toward the front of the bed. =D

I personally chuckle when I see the F250's but the guys just HAD to have the diesel! Yep. Put your groceries in the bed and you're loaded up. Even worse, 95% of those idiots have no clue about the cargo capacity of their trucks. Now granted they have towing capacity out the wazoo. But cargo? Yea, not so much.

Ah... it's the little things in life that get me by. :sunglasses:
Completely agree! F350 is like a $600 option too. Well it used to me. What about tongue weight too, you need payload for that.

Even a 100 lb difference is tough to understand. What would the weight difference be? leather seats, LED lights???
Higher quality materials, power mirrors, sync or b&o system, subwoofer, power seats, bed liner, fx4 package adds weight, carpet, digital guages, sliding rear window, ect.
