First big-time rock concert I went to was KISS in 1976. I wasn't especially a KISS fan but I wanted to see the show and my neighbor had tickets. 4th row on the side.
Now the interesting part is.....
The opening band was some guy from Detroit who we'd vaguely heard of named Bob Seger. He said they were going to do some songs from their new album that would be out in a few weeks called "Night Moves". We thought him and his band were pretty good and might amount to something some day.
i was sad the day bob seger died. i remember exactly what i was doing when the story hit the news.

Hi Jonny,

Love Bob Seger! I could not stand KISS...yuk...

Best,
Phil
Back in 1975 I went to a live band session in a local Australian Rules football club. The top band billed was some up and coming group from Sydney called ACDC, they really only had one song - the rest were mostly covers but that song was High Voltage Rock & Roll, and I thought this band has real live energy, they could really make it. Interestingly it wasn't actually released on vinyl until nearly a year later, I guess we were the beta testers!

I remember reading this online back when I first purchased the Ranger.

"On the Ranger models, Ford Engineers claim not to process fake recorded engine sounds to mimic a higher displacement performance engine tone, but rather process original engine sounds that are being emitted. These are real organic engine sounds that are processed and transmitted through the vehicle’s speaker system. Ford takes the authentic sounds from each engine model, combines, and “refine” them to be transmitted through the speaker system. It appears the Infotainment head unit receives a signal directly from ignition pulses and throttle position then processes that into the fake engine sound. When doing a sub upgrade, some have reported notable sound oscillation and frequency feedback through the system."

I can say for certain that a 2019 XLT has HAD the fake engine noise.

It wasn't very obtrusive until I added an aftermarket sub.

Then the sub decided that the fake noise was obviously my favorite part of every song and proceeded to amp it up.

I could minimize it a bit by playing with the sub crossovers but I eventually removed it with FORScan.

Much happier now. And the sub actually functions as a sub.

My wife won free tickets to a Rolling Stones concert at Giants stadium on a radio station give away years ago. They were 4 rows from the stage slightly off center and I could feel my head vibrating all the way home and then into the next day. Awesome show but pouring rain the whole show and they put tarps on to protect the fields under the chairs so we were standing in 4 inches of water the entire show. I think they cranked up the volume to overcome the rain noise. Guess it's part of the reason I wear hearing aids now.
Thats crazy I won Stones tickets too (from a bar having a raffle) but it was at Shea Stadium. It was back in '90 and In Living Color was their back up. We were 7 rows center stage and was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Crazy indeed, I also won tickets to that Stones tour with Living Color opening for them. It was New Year's Eve for the show in Toronto, Ontario. We were metal heads though, and left shortly after the Stones came out.

In unrelated news, Pantera 'reunion' tickets go on sale Friday morning for the Toronto show, with Lamb of God opening.

Although I was never a fan of his TV work (FUll House, AFV) his stand up act was awesome. I also miss Bob Saget. ;)

I am with you. Sure wish someone finds a fix. I use a whitenoise machine at night.
Saw one of those articles listing places outside of the US to retire, Philippines was on there, said it was Hawaii like but far less expensive.

Sooo....just like today's music?

Call me a relic, call me what you will
Say I'm old-fashioned, say I'm over the hill
Today's music ain't got the same soul
I like that old time rock 'n' roll

Wow! This thread is so far off the tracks that it had to install a lift kit and 33s just to even see the original topic. But I read the whole thing... Am I part of the problem?

Dave, you know how it goes around here. Asked and answered on the first page (or two) then the rest goes downhill from there.
