Where do you get 5 years 100,000 miles? Factory powertrain warranty is 5 year 60,000 miles(wichever comes first).
I thought the emissions had to be covered until 100K or 5 years an they may offer body rust coverage up to then too
From what I've seen in NY on the news now they throw people under a subway train!
Emission warranty and body rust/corrosion warranty is a whole different deal and the transmission would not be covered under either one.
I understand that I'm just guessing where he "got that from"
I wouldn't go panicking yet.
As said before this transmission is in millions of vehicles for many years now and there's no wide spread problems. The F150 uses it and their best selling year (2018) they sold 900,000 units. Sadly this is just a fluke thing that happened to Sid and I'm sure it's happened to others (in other vehicles) but it's no cause to panic.
