Tangential to your light issue but if you use forscan you need a windows computer (cheap laptop works). The phone app is read only.

I have not had my truck very long, but a few things crossed my mind for your issue. IDK about battery issues (as of now - none)

1. But, if it is actually both light's, might try putting the headlight switch in (Headlight Position)
To eliminate any (Auto-Headlight) sensor issues

2. If you have Auto-High Beam enabled, try de-selecting it off

3. Clean your Windshield - in front of mirror - Auto - High Beam Sensor is in mirror, I think

4. Clean dash - Light Sensor

I have found that all exterior sensors (parking etc) are very sensitive to road grime, salt & sand etc
so, I keep a micro-fiber towel in truck to wipe them off, I expect it to be the same for interior sensors

If it turns out to be only (1) headlight, see if it does it on High beam as well, and possibly take your palm and lightly thump headlight assy to try to duplicate issue, with steering wheel in turn and signal on - Basically set it up - in driveway as if you are at that corner
might just be a lose ground connection and with it loaded up power wise, it shows itself

It's just a process of elimination to help pinpoint problem, it might be as simple as resetting the BCM, but you would need ForScan or Scanner capable of Bi-Directional control and able to read (B) and (U) codes

Just a few thought's

Really great feedback. With the time change its not as dark out now when I leave so I did not notice it this morning. But I have been paying attention to my reflection in the back of cars on my way into work and back home. So far I haven't noticed anything unusual.

I 'think' its just the driver side. But it could also be nothing. I opened the hood yesterday to check the connections and they are super hard to access with my Tremor AUX switch box. I did shake the truck some and bounce it up and down and didn't see any light flutter. Auto-high beam is disabled. I will try and narrow this down further next week when I am off work. Until then, great idea making sure things are cleaned off or pay attention to if they are dirty if I notice anything.

Forscan will operate off of a smartphone. You need a Bluetooth OBD reader to connect to the truck.
Only to read codes.

Windows computer required to actually change anything.

I have noticed a slight headlight flicker with my OEM Lariat headlights. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have only noticed it when I turn right out of the alley behind my house in the morning and the headlights hit the garage at the end of the alley. Its pretty subtle almost like a flutter. I will try and get a video to share.

EDIT: To clarify, I think it is only my driver side headlight?
No headlight flicker from my ‘22 Ranger Lariat.

Forscan Lite can operate off an Android smartphone but only to read and clear codes. Cannot make any changes.

I finally got a good video of it. This is the passenger headlight. Is it possible it’s just rain dripping off the hood?

Honestly I do not think I would ever notice it. Looks like the light itself is pretty solid and not flickering. Might be the rain.

My xl headlights will occasionally flicker.

Quicker than a blink.. it's hardly noticeable but definitely happens.

My AlphaRex Luxxs will flicker once in a blue moon. It's just an LED thang sometimes I guess.

Now that I have seen the video, it is defiantly a voltage issue, Voltage loss at the headlight, if only passenger headlight - disconnect and compare voltage readings (from both sides)

Note: with connectors disconnected and headlights on - the BCM will generate code, but this can be reset with ForScan or it will reset itself after key cycle

Using Meter: Check for Voltage and watch for Voltage Fluctuation (jumping) should be stable

Engine Running - You should see 11 Volts or higher at the connector

Pin 2 = Low beam power feed from BCM
Pin 3 = High beam power feed from BCM

1. Pin 2 to a good Frame Ground
2. Pin 2 to Pin 4 - (For LED)- Should match (step 1), this checks the ground circuit wiring

Compare both sides, they should be same and steady reading

Doing this check will pin-point headlamp itself (Internal Module) or wiring feed to it

Plus - Check if it does the same in (Auto) and (Headlamp) positions, this will isolate circuit it of only does it in (one) position only

My alpharex nova, headlights. On the right(passenger side) doesn’t light up all the way and when I hit a bump it will get brighter. Or I can hit it with my hand and it lights up brighter the way it suppose to. I am not sure what can be wrong. Please help somebody.

Not so Brief update to my thread here.

12/6/22 - Last time I noticed headlight flicker (until today).

12/27/22 - I was having unrelated issues with my exterior door handle 'smart' locks not functioning in the start of my day. Later in the day the electronic locks cycled 100+ times on a 45 min drive home on the freeway. Took it immediately into Ford and they tested the battery and said it was good but low on charge. Booked an appointment for 12/29.

12/28/22 - I had no issues with the locks but in reverse the rear detection sonar noise was coming out of the front left pod. Not the rear speakers like normal.

12/29/22 - I took it into the dealer and they could not replicate any issues from above. Asked them to load test the battery and they said they needed it overnight.

12/30/22 - Got a call from the dealer and they said the 'battery warranty tester' showed a "really good battery". Receipt from the 'warranty tester' is below. Took the truck home and no issues until today.

1/1/23 - I played with forscan and upped the BCM from 75% to 90% and enabled bambi mode among other things. No symptoms from above after 12/29 dealer visit and battery was tested. *see note below regarding my experience so far with bambi mode*

Today 1/6/23 - Leaving home on my way into work the front left headlight was flickering VIOLENTLY. Like strobe light effect. Only did it leaving my driveway and the first 300 feet out of the alley. Once I got on the main drag it was working fine as far as I could tell. I wish I was able to get a video but I was super late to work. (*Weather condition for this morning was wet but not raining*)

On a side note, does anyone else hear a relay click or activation thump sound when they activate their highbeams? I noticed it when playing with forscan after enabling bambi mode. I panicked and turned bambi back off to see if the relay noise went away but it didnt so I turned it back on. Idk if its relevant to my issues or not. I have not used by highbeams since I have enabled bambi on Sunday.
