Drove to Oregon from California and back to pick up my Injen cold air intake and CVF downpipe. I must say I am impressed with my Ranger even more. Minus driving through a huge windy rain storm, adaptive cruise control made the trip super easy. Kind of mad I waited 2 years to use the damn thing. Averaged 23 mpg on the way up and 21 mpg on the way back. Makes me scratch my head when people say they cant get more than 15 mpg. Anywho, cant wait to get these new parts bolted on tomorrow.

The ACC is very nice, unlike some of the other "aids".

I hate strongly dislike the automatic lane keeping and the automatic high beams.

Thankfully they are easily disabled.

I’m with you on the lane keeping but the auto brights are amazing on country roads after dark. I don’t want a vehicle without them now.

I'm probably the weird one as I hate it! I've tried it several times but always get to complacent and forget it's set then fall back down in speed because I've approached another vehicle. Next thing you know I'm going 5-10 mph slower than I want. Personally I'd rather have full control of my vehicle.

My auto brights work ok out in the sticks where there is little ambient light to confuse them.

But driving locally, in a small town that's no longer small and now has tons of light sources around, I've accidentally blinded too many folks when it doesn't switch so I disabled it.

I thought ACC was some kind of useless gadget. Until I rented a Forester with it. WOW!, I really liked it. Too bad mine does not have it.
My lane assist is off, hated it.
I like the high beam thing, so far.
I miss push start.
I like AC.
I like the heated seats.
I really hated the failed brakes.
I liked the rolling tires, helps with mpg.
Ok, I stop... ?

This is my experience as well on long trips. I like it sometimes but then realize I’m going 10 mph slower than I want to be.

I felt the same way when I first used it - simply because I wasn't watching my speed. At least in the Lariat, you can change the left-hand portion of the instrument cluster to show a digital speedometer. When I did that, I became more aware of reduced speeds, and just changed lanes.

I love it, it is the option I will miss the most when I move out of this truck.

I'm with you. I hate giving up control of my vehicle due to the "non drivers" on the road. You know, the ones who can't step on the gas when going up an incline and who make you slow down until you can change lanes.

ACC is one of my favorite features. The auto high beams are probably the second - I never thought I'd like them, but they are really nice -and yes, I do agree they work better in more rural settings. Push button start and keyless entry are right up there too - never had a vehicle I rarely had to pull the keys out of my pocket for, which I really like. But they need to put a fingerprint sensor in the tailgate too!

The lane keep assist I don't care for - I don't know if it is how Ford implemented it, or just the idea in general, but mine is turned off.

Mine in town with lots of other lights mine never go to brights. Are you sure you didn't manually cycle them and turn the auto feature off?

Mine actually tend to favor low beams. Sometimes a bright reflective sign will trip them to low beam when they should have stayed on high.

Do you have anything in front of your mirror, like a dash cam, that may be blocking the sensor?

No, I didn't manually cycle them as the icon was still lit in the instrument panel.

Mine also tend to favor low beam except for when they don't, which seems to be at the most inopportune times.

Nothing is blocking the sensor.

The auto high beam has always been spotty in my truck.

I've enabled it a few times only to disable it again when it fails to dim.

Part of my issue may be because I am in a hilly area and the usual is for a car to suddenly pop up over the hill when you are right on top of it.
