I have had it happen twice now. When I started the truck in my driveway and immediately put it in reverse to back out, it surged into reverse like a rocket, so fast I had to press the brake hard but it was still trying to go, tires spinning, gravel flying. Had to put it in Neutral (foot still on brake entire time) to stop the spinning!Ensure you are letting the engine settle after startup before moving the shifter. 10-15 seconds
Usually I start the truck, while in park, adjust my climate control, put my seat belt on then put in Reverse. Like I said, the 2 times it did this (I was only going next door to the horse barn 700' away) so I didn't take those extra few seconds to adjust the climate or put my seat belt on. So now I'm very careful to do the routine that takes a few seconds before putting in Reverse.

Unfortunately I can't say any of them without banning myself.
