ygetyep and this is normal. Don't like ir? Well you might want to consider a vehicle that has the high and low combine as one or get yourself a set of Lariat Assemblies.
I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but if it's something I can modify I will.

Lariat assemblies are something I've been considering for few years down the road.

On my truck, when the high beams are on, then I slow down to make a turn, it switches to low beam and makes the light spread out more.

on my F150, the lows would stay on with the high beams regardless of direction of the lever. The beam pattern of the 13th gen F150 was garbage so quad lights helped in that case

On these rangers, the high beam pattern goes forward far enough while still hitting the corners. However again my lows remain on, kind of reducing my ability to focus in the distance.

I'm using the high beams to see what's down the road or highway, not that pothole I'm about to run over know what I mean?
Yes-This is normal ops - For Halo's
You might try adjusting headlight down (just a tad) to see if that helps (Lo & High) together beam pattern - You can always adjust back up (if no help). It might help wash out the low beam and more focus on the high beam pattern, but you will lose some low beam (only) distance
Even though you don't ForScan - I'm sure there is a way to program BCM, just have to crack the code for it

Just a suggestion

Tap into the high beam + wire to power the coil and run the low beam + through the normally closed relay circuit and leave normally open circuit alone and cover it with come electrical tape or something

The Lariat LED headlights aren't going to solve your issue. They use a shutter to block light in the low beam position. Going to the high beam moves that shutter to allow the blocked light to reach further down the road but you still get all the low beam light right in front of you.

How do you drive in the day with light everywhere if having the low beams on prevent you from focusing on where the high beams are?

You are right...I'm old and confused lol...
Has happened to me with significantly greater frequency and intensity since I had the covid. I blame Long Hauler's Syndrome, although, mine isn't NEARLY as severe as what some people have. Just every now and then I feel like Joe Biden at the podium.

That sounds like it would throw a bunch of codes. Modern BCMs don't like "Tap into."

I did consider this and I’m not sure if it would throw a code or not. I imagine it wouldn’t but with automatic high beams and everything being controlled by a computer and sensors it’s certainly possible

OEM LEDs lights apparently don't use two separate light sources. Just mechanical shifting of an optical mechanism to change beam pattern.

If there are two separate light sources, (especially halogens / projectors) be aware that the assembly may not be designed to run both sources simultaneously. Heat dissipation could cause problems with the assembly if you jigger things around to operate both at the same time.

I have no specific knowledge about the headlights of this vehicle, so this is just based on general knowledge that may or may not apply.

I'll look into the relay jump later. Hopefully the BCM isn't as fragile as Chryslers...

I was able to turn off my low beams when high beams are on via Forscan. Its been over a year; I forget the exact parameters I changed. I do think there were some canned BCM configurations for "headlight type" or something of that nature. I vaguely remember there being different halogen headlight type options and one worked for my goals.

For some context, I also run auxiliary driving lights triggered by the high beam switch via a relay tapped into the high beam wire. Disabling the low beam got me the composite high beam pattern I wanted with the auxiliaries. I suppose this also keeps me compliant with my state's vehicle lighting laws and limits on number of driving lamps on at any given time... but I like it this way, anyhow.
