Mirimoto XB LED Headlights wont turn off when switched to off

I have installed the Mirimoto XB headlights on my 2021 xlt when i put the switch to off the DRL are on. When i put it to auto the headlights and DRL are on no matter day or night. I thought i had it in the right fuse spot but could be wrong have no idea whats going on. thinking it is in wrong fuse spot since it still gets power when off but i put it in spot 19 per instructions.

DRLs are always on. I followed the instructions same as you. It dims with the headlights on and it's bright with the headlights off.

Now there is something you need to watch for. Make sure that fuse is seated correctly in spot 19.

He said the #19 tap fuse was missing. Okay, should he have noticed his DRLs are not working?

Keep an eye on your #19 fuse.

Has morimoto been contacted to speak on this…..kind of concerning since i just bought them last week, havent received yet tho

I believe the morimotos are wired in so the LED light bars (DRLs) are on any time the ignition is in the on position regardless of light switch position. Unlike the OEM lights, where the DRLs are only on when the switch is in the Auto position and the transmission is not in Park. The Alpharex are the same when using the extra DRL mpdule.

I believe someone was working on his vehicle and possibly removed it. He did say it was missing. I don't think it fell out on its own.

Aww i just heard him say it was missing, so thought maybe it was some type of defect with the tap.

the DRLs will run constantly when you have that fuse tap in place. Even if you turn the switch off. This is because fuse 19 (as mentioned in the video I believe) is for power steering. That is one thing about almost any aftermarket headlights; they are going to have the DRL function to them.

Aww i just heard him say it was missing, so thought maybe it was some type of defect with the tap.

I was a bit concerned myself. I've had shop mechanics forget to put parts back several times on my vehicles. Not sure why that piggy back fuse was needed to be removed in his case.
