What happens with the DRL's? And will the dust covers fit back on? Thanks.
If you have an XL or XLT the DRL's are still on low beam. The DRL's on the Alpharex lights are powered by a differnt module. On the Lariat headlights all you have to do is change some settings i. The BCM fo have the DRL change

AlphaRex headlamps, either the halogen projectors with drop in LEDs or the the Lux series.

And either Baja Designs or Diode Dynamics drop in pocket fogs.

That's what you need to do it right. Please, for the love of God, don't use drop in leds in you factory housings.

Here’s a thoughtful, well researched video on the topic.

My XLT doesn't have DRL's, so I don't have to worry about those. The dust covers can partially go back on, yes. Enough to stay there. But they're not completely secured. You can leave them off if you want to since the LED's that go in seal off the interior of the headlight from dust anyway. I've had mine in for almost a year and a half now with no problems at all. Still nice and bright.
