Do I need tailgate dampers?

I don't understand all of the fuss over the dampers as they should have been OEM. Those of us who own White Rangers KNOW we have something truly special.

I feel bad for the competition who drive white trucks....

Dampers are like a King size bed. You don't really ever consider buying one. Don't need one. I would rather spend my money on the next Def Leppard album...

Use to the cables but seems many have opted to use the Dampers.

Hmm, i have a king size bed, and a tailgate strut assist! And i drive a ranger instead of a heavy duty. And every ar i own is purpose built for a specific job, and wear converse instead of boots, prefer mojitos over cheap beer, and i cook, and bbq, i dont even know the point of this post.

Of course, the solution for the AR is the same.."hydraulic damped" buffer... ?
