I was unhappy when I looked at the official Ford website, looked at the trucks on the lot, came back home looked at the website again, it is true, Ford not only lowered the back, they moved the wheels out, I thought "they must have used one without the tow package", no, they photo shopped it, you must not have looked for yourself before your responded, other members here have also made the photo shopped observation, not just the OP.

I think the Ford website people should be lambasted for falsifying product images, just like the OP is getting for his post:crackup:
Many companies "Photoshop" the products to make them appear more attractive . Back in the day it was airbrushing the negatives . Does your burger at the fast food chain look as meaty and delicious as the ads portray them ? How about that model in your favorite mens magazine ? If you notice , all auto manufactures ads as far back as I can remember "tint" the windows , including the windshield because it just makes the vehicle look more appealing . Hell , I'm still mad about buying that packet of Sea Monkeys when I was 10 years old . Duped again .

I'm more ticked about the x-ray glasses.

I hated the engineers that would write the words they could not spell so sloppy I had to go and ask them wtf they trying to say. Your not fooling anyone I would tell them. Not like I can spell any better.

Yep, very common.

Just think of how many wouldn't be able to join forums if the rules required you to know which to use when. :(
.
Not sure if that would be bad, or a step in the right direction ?

So, in interest of full disclosure, I've sold my Ranger 6 mos ago for financial reasons, not because of this, though the rear bed height was a real PITA when loading and tying down.

After looking at the rear suspension design, while trying yo figure out a way to lower the rear suspension, I've come to suspect that the high rear ride height was a design flaw caught too late to correct. My reasoning follows from the fact that you can't really get any lowering height in any reasonable way. The frame points are too high, and the Truck is already slammed at the rear, but the rear is still too high. Ford even lowers the rear of the Truck on the "Build it" 'Net site to a normal level, like every other small truck on the market. Like the Tacoma i sold to buy it, and like the Nissan frontier i just picked up today, I can actual put both arms (I'm 6' with longish arms) in to the Bed from the side rear to tie something down. I could not without a uncomfortable strain with the Ranger. couldn't imagine trying if i was , say 5'8? So, looking at the fact that- -

1. It can't be corrected with the current Frame design

2. It's a flaw IMHO, wayyy too high. No reason for it

3. Even ford tries to hide the issue while selling the Truck

I believe that it was a design flaw that was caught too late to fix without a major rear frame redesigned, so Ford just put it into production.

And yes the Frontier is Awesome, but so was the Ranger, except for this major PITA flaw.

What to you think, agree or disagree and why?
Do you complain about every mild inconvenience like this?

I'm 5'7" and couldn't be bothered by the fact that I can't touch the floor from the side. That's been the case for basically every truck I've encountered. I haul hand tools in the bed all the time and have little issue getting them out, even from the side.

Don't knock the grabber! =D

I use mine, unashamedly, to pick up sticks in the yard. I used to be a little leery of it, like I was admitting I'm old (which I am). But using it makes my back less sore, so I go nuts with it.

I'll also use it to shoo away those pesky kids on my lawn! =)

*goes off to order that magical Clapper thing* =p

The head will rotate 90 degrees and I've used it for 3 years now.

The worst one on auto forums is they are going to work on their breaks for awhile then maybe take a short brake .
