original configuration. two leafs that dont have the pads are the second leaf down, and bottom leaf.
I will check mine later, but I believe you need a spacer thingie between the bottom and second leaf. Does the one not making noise have the spacer?

So I crawled under the pickup this afternoon and started poking around. Not sure why I hadn't thought of it before, but if you get under and just push up on the frame it's pretty easy to cycle the suspension. Mines definitely coming from the leaf clamp. I noticed that one of the leaves is not quite square with the others. Got everything square again and the squeaks gone. Not sure how to keep that from happening though. It was only of by a little more than a 1/16" but it definitely was causing the noise.

pretty sure i found the source. bottom leaf is scarfing the next leaf up in the pack, to the point where you feel wear marks in the steel. this happens to be next to the rebound clip also.
Icon is helping me get it sorted. im thinking adding friction pads will cure it, but i need the ok from icon. Not sure if they will want to send a new bottom leaf or just go ahead and drill/add pads to that leaf.

update on this-
i worked with icon and we did an experiment- adding tip inserts on the second leaf down and the bottom. bottom leaf we determined was the cuprit.
drilling wasnt bad, had to go through a few 1/2” cobalt bits as got some junk ones. lot of cutting fluid and slow speed on the press. didnt end up using the mill like i intended.
cobalt step bit ended up being the best cut.
havent installed yet, so no idea if this cured the icon squeak, but 99% sure this is it.
heres some samples-

I've been reading about replacing the rear springs for ride quality and didn't want to give up load capacity or introduce squat after raising the front 1.25 inch but the noise issue was a non starter for me.

If you've helped them address this and it makes into their production lines it's back on my list.

i dont think everyone has noise issues, so who knows.
The ride quality of these is great, dont let the noise issue get in the way. only other option is deaver, which you cant go wrong.

update- springs back in. so far results are good. im not expecting total silence, but better. so far zero noise, so far.

so for anyone interested that has creaking- cobalt step bit, cutting oil, and 4 tip inserts for bottom leaf.

I have not, I know my springs squeak a bit but I rarely drive with the windows down and I can't hear it otherwise. Maybe I'll do the wolfman fix this fall, I need to disassemble the leaf packs and freshen them up. I'm a little disappointed in the Icon paint job.

adding the sliders to the two leafs did solve it.
just make sure you got plenty of cutting fluid and cobalt bits. i used a cobalt step bit as it was stiff and it allow small bites at a time.
