Can someone who has installed the Icon leaf springs tell me which direction the shackles are facing after installation? Bottom towards the front or rear?

The directions show the bottom toward the front, but that isn't how shackles work (from what I remember) and the stock leaf has the bottom towards the rear. Trying to make sure we install them correctly!

Pictures would help too! Thank you!

Not sure exactly what you are asking?
The end with the bushing already in it goes towards the front of the truck... you will need to re-use the bushing from your factory spring in the rear... torque top/front to 119 ft lbs , rear to 89 ft lbs. U-boats to 98 ft lbs.. I gave the bushings a squirt of WD Dry lube before installing, and have not had any squeaks...they are not designated for passenger or driver side installation, but prior to installing I did place them upside down, side by side to see if there was more arc in one compared to the other...the difference between the two was only a 1/16th of an inch ....I used the taller / more arched pack on the driver side....Ranger lean reasons....?...One more picture after I up graded my shocks to the ICON 2.5 adjustable valve Piggybacks....

Should the shackle be mounted like the first picture or the second? Shackles should be mounted the second way, from everything I know, but the instructions from Icon show different. (pic 3)

I gave up yesterday and will figure out another way to get it. The leaf springs won't lie flat enough to get the shackles back. No good videos on how to make it work.

OK, I think I see your qurstion now. The shackles will probably be like your first picture when you install them with no load. Once you put a load an them the springs will flatten and lengthen, so it will look like your second photo.

I now see what you are dealing with....I think this the point that that I deviated from the ICON insructions..
I think the order in which I did the intall was rear shackle first , Ubolt to hold spring pack in place on it's perch , nuts snuggled but not tight ...I then used 2 jacks to lift the axle and get the top front bolt to align with bushing hole...also a pry bar or ratchet strap might be needed to get that last bolt thru...

So you did rear, then the from bolt on the frame? We samtarted down that road but abandoned it because it was late and seemed really hard. Ha! I’ve been trying to find a good install video, but I’m coming up short.

I remember having to pry the axle forward to get the Springs pin to align properly on its perch, snugged the Ubolt nuts to keep it there then used a combination of Jack's and pry bar to get that last bolt home...I have seen a video that used a ratchet strap to pull axle up and forward to get that last bolt thru...

mine were like that. you have to pry the tail end down to get the shackle in. it was a pain. they do mention it for a hot second in the instructions.
