Hit 0 m to empty this morning, to make matters worst I got stuck in traffic due to accident when it flipped to zero. Ended up making it to a gas station, didn’t have any missing or sputtering: but when I filled it up , pump said 18.8 so I’m sure I was cutting it close.
Dumped some Techron in before filling as well.

on a side note, my wiper fluid got low the other day and the truck Warned me which is pretty cool! Kind of annoyed the dealer hasn’t been topping up fluids like they say they do on my “the works” invoices.

FWIW, every vehicle I have had since 1985 has had a warning light for low washer fluid except my 15 and 17 Mustangs. I was pretty annoyed when I found that out on the 15 on a wet slushy ride home from work.

wow I feel dumb. Haha this was my first new vehicle purchase, outside of that I’ve only driven a 99 ranger and a pt bruiser; guess I never let the fluid get low enough!

We had an 03 PT Cruiser GT Turbo and there was an indicator light for low washer fluid.

The fluid level that needs a big indicator light is the turn signal fluid, it seems everybody who drives around here must be out of fluid because they never use the turn signal:curse:

Mine came on a few days after I picked it up from the dealership...if there's one thing ford's dealer network can do these days, it's make sure the washer fluid light comes on in your new car.

Day 1: @57918 miles, 0 gas tank and drove 1.5 mile to gas station. Made it.... The gas price is nuts at that gas station. I decided to pay $10 just to fill a bit.
Day 2: @57967 miles, 0 gas tank and drove approximately 3 miles to gas station, crossing two steep bridges and in 45 mph zone. I made it!
I need to stop making a bad habit after attempt 2 times by accident! I used to pay $40 per week, but things like inflation change which I have to push up to $60 per week as my habit to ensure I am not going to be at 0 miles to E lol

At one point in time years ago when DTE became a common feature in vehicles. Ford had stated that you have approximately 15 miles left when you hit zero, now with the improvements to the electronics I would think it would be more accurate.

I don't know about the Ford DI pump, but running a mechanical high pressure DI pump out of fuel is hard on them, and sometimes difficult to purge all the air out of.

But having said that, I still run mine down to zero on a simi regular basis, the fuel prices around here are crazy, stations just miles apart are almost up to a dollar different.
