I have this same exact issue on my 2019 lariat.
It drives me insane, but right now I’ve got some kind of other weird chirping noise that’s even more bothersome. That noise appears to be related to the road/suspension as the chirps get louder the larger the bump(s) I drove over. I haven’t asked...
wow I feel dumb. Haha this was my first new vehicle purchase, outside of that I’ve only driven a 99 ranger and a pt bruiser; guess I never let the fluid get low enough!
Hit 0 m to empty this morning, to make matters worst I got stuck in traffic due to accident when it flipped to zero. Ended up making it to a gas station, didn’t have any missing or sputtering: but when I filled it up , pump said 18.8 so I’m sure I was cutting it close.
Dumped some Techron in...
I just installed the Dueler AT Revo 3 after reading someone else’s post on how they minimize road sound but still provide an aggressive look.
only a few days after install I drove From Houston to big bend ranch state park.
On the road, these things are as quiet if not more quiet than the...
Yup EXACTLY! Honestly, just glad I’m not the only one. Thought I just had a bad one or something. I wish there was a way to remedy it, it’s super annoying. Don’t wanna drive in sport or tow all the time.
Yea it kind of sucks, kind of embarrassing too... but yup, don’t matter if it’s hot or cold it still happens at least for me. I was out of town and the wife finally drove it cuz her car battery died and even she was saying the brakes were weird at lower speeds, but I knows shes referring to that...
Yea, I was thinking it might be, especially since I drove it through a moist forest and then a lot of dry dusty gravel roads. However, I actually needed to use the heater for a good 30 minutes or so and now the smell is gone. Maybe just needed to run out that new heater smell or something not...
Hi all,
I have noticed for the last 3-4 thousand miles of driving or so, that when I use the heater or turn above 65 degrees exactly, then I get this really nasty rotten smell.
I didn’t notice it until now because I live in Houston, and I’ve only really needed to use the heater like 2-3 times...
$1.89 here in Houston.
Plus my discounts = $1.73 w/ Chevron fuel.
I definitely notice a difference when I use 93 octane. More power, but also engine is much smoother sounding.
Also, on a road trip from Houston to Through Louisiana and then up to Arkansas. I cleared the trip meter and was...
You and me both! I’ve got little chips all over the damn thing.. the first few I found were pretty low and I did take a trip into some woods with some dirt gravelly roads... so I figured eh whatever, got the touch up and fixed it. Later, after a few car washes, I started noticed chips on the...
Brought ranger into dealership (Houston), they gave me no issues and took care of it.
Upon start, noticed a different chime that I hadn’t heard before, doesn’t happen after the first start. TRUCK SHIFTS WAY BETTER. It was instantly noticeable, the engine also sounds nicer at idle as well. FYI...
I think i know what your talking about.. I have a similar thud and release of pressure on the brake system when auto-shut off occurs, but it all feels normal to me. I just assumed that its part of the the mechanics shutting off. I just assumed the thud was just the engine knocking off...
FYI, didn't happen last friday because of schedule conflicts between technicians and myself. Happening at the moment of this post. I did notice that when its cold out, my truck seems to use 2nd gear until it warms up some more. As others mentioned must be normal. Hopefully the TSB fix will...
Check this thread, very informative stuff.
