Bezel diagnostics screen

I know this one was already mentioned by joshmills but here are some details. To get into the Bezel diagnostics screen. Press and hold the Skip forward buttons on the steering wheel and dash at the same time. Sync will go into a speaker test. You can allow it to finish or exit the test. From here there are many test and information screens. Play with these at your own risk!!!

One thing you can do is enable the Testing Settings button and then you will have an option to go to the Diagnostics screen directly from your Settings screen. You can check out some of the other shutdown themes, but unfortunately it resets to the default on the next stat up.You can see your Sync software version. There are many more.

Engineering Test Mode

If you press and hold The OK button on the left steering wheel buttons while you start up your vehicle you will enter this mode. Play with these at your own risk!!! Various information can be seen. I don’t know if changes can be made, but I wouldn’t try anyway.

Well, mine is a simple one for us simple mined folks who has never used a key fob.

You don’t have to press it to unlock the doors, with the key fob on your person just pull the door handle twice and it unlocks.

Simply blew me away when I found this out.

Also thought it was cool that when the blinker is on the lane assist pauses.

New truck tech is awesome.

You don't have to pull it twice, if you put your hand on the handle and wait a second, it will unlock.

This one might be old news, but FORScan can change your Sync skin. I think the GT skin (that’s the real GT, not Mustang GT) is quite nice. It’s definitely nicer than the stock white thing. There are several skins to choose from.

I will do this eventually. I like the Raptor one.

Husky floor matts. Mine had a slight buckle on the left side of the drivers side, looked annoying because it didn’t lay flat.
Looked to long and I thought the corner against the seat needed trimming, I did that but still not flat,

If this didn’t occur to someone here’s what I did.

I took my heat gun and got it pretty warm them placed a wooded block on it to flatten then left a barbell weight on top over night.
Flatten it right out.

Almost went with Weathertech but the Husky’s were cheaper. This may work if yours also need a bit of tweaking.

The Lane Assist engagement button is on the end of the left stalk. My salesman did not show me any of the features.

I’ve only found it useful on the interstate. Disengages when the blinker is applied is kinda trick.

He probably did not know. I had to show the dealer where the brake controller wires were so they could install one in another customer's truck.

When the "tech" girl told me the "trail control" button was "hill decent" I just nodded and smiled, she seemed a bit befuddled by some other things, but she was cute so it was ok:).

In her defense it was January and the first Ranger on the lot and I bought it the day after delivery, so there wasn't much time to study it unless you were reading here like me:like:
