SYNC 3 and heated seats

So I was looking at another Sync 3 has "heated seats " below the name in the phone area. I upgraded the Sync 3 system. Perhaps they took it off the screen. It was in the "red" area under my name (which has been erased.

So does @joeb427 I am aware of. I did the most recent update of sync 3. I don't he did that update. We all have 3.3 but there are some numbers after that that are in an update. May have taken it off. I don't mind if they're not there I'm just wondering what update caused them to go away

7D0-01-01, XXXX XXXX X?XX --> Byte 5. 0 should remove them, probably a 3 now.

Actually, Rob, I just looked it up on the sync 3 Supplement it says:

"Displays the current setting of the heated or climate-controlled driver seat. Driver * Heated and Climate Controlled Seats D This icon does not display if your vehicle has hard button controls for heated and climate controlled seats. If your vehicle is not equipped with navigation, this option displays under the audio information. "



I have Nav and hard buttons for heated seats Others have both icons and hard buttons. Confusing,

I'm guessing one needs Forscan to make those changes. I prefer it without. Just curious why some have both hard buttons AND the heated seat Icons on the Home screen. I won't have the dealer program them in Forscan.

Program choice to have it in both places. Some prefer hard buttons, some soft buttons on screen. I guess they decided to offer both in this case. And yep, Forscan will do it if you don't want them on screen.

As a Texas resident, I don't have the need to use heated seats very often. But it's relatively cold here this week. So I decided to try out my heated seats (Lariat), and could not find any control on the Sync screen anywhere. I see from this thread that some people do have them on the home screen, others do not. The comments about the controls not appearing on Sync if you have hard buttons seem to be generic Sync instructions, not necessarily the Ranger.

In absence of them appearing on the Home screen, I assumed they'd be on the climate as shown on this additional generic Sync image, but mine aren't there either. So I guess I'm going to just have to use the hard buttons. And, I do have the latest Sync updates.
