How do I know if I have sync 1 or 3?
Why is there an apps section on the main screen but when I hit find apps it says there are none?
In android auto, is there a way to make it turn on spotify or maps instead of me going to my phone to open it? If the apps are not open it tells me it's not working right. Going to my phone and opening them fixes it.
Are there any settings I should look for to make it all work smoother?
Is there a way to make maps or Spotify work wirelessly?
I'm not exactly impressed with sync/Android auto lol.

Can you be a little more detailed with your questions, so we can help you?

What phone are you using?
Do you have the phone connected with a USB cable to the ports under the radio?

WIreless Android Auto is not supported. Very few OEMs support it at this time, unfortunately.

Your Ranger has Sync 3.3 or 3.4. If it is a 2021 model, it should be Sync 3.4.

My 2021 with sync 3.4 and AA on my Google Pixel 3A works seamless almost all the time.

Regarding Google Maps: Within Android Auto, touching the Google Map icon brings up Google Maps. If you have navigation on you Ranger, you can also touch the NAV icon in Sync. Doing that will either bring up Google Maps (if AA is running) or the factory Ford navigation (if AA is not running).

The Apps section on Sync will use the Ford apps....my guess here is that you don't have all the required stuff installed on your phone....Do you have FordPass installed, and activated, etc?
