  1. Need dad advice: Ranger Regrets?

I've got 2 kids. Put the next size up car seat in there before you make you decision. Infant seats fit with plenty of room but 2 of the big toddler ones gets really crowded. My front seats just barely touch both toddler seats when sitting in my normal position.
  2. Anyone have Issues with the Window Molding Fading

Mine has a few faded spots but not that bad. I'm long out of bumper to bumper warranty so can't help ya there.
  3. Control arm feeler post

I'm in. I've needed them for awhile.
  4. Holes in your Ranger rocker panels?

That's odd. Mine is a '19 and does not have these holes. Edit. I have the single plug like above, not a row of holes like the OP.
  5. Front spindle trouble after 1 leveling kit

You might be surprised just how soft the axle shaft is. I've repaired several of these on various fords for inexperienced techs fresh off the lube rack. These threads usually clean up pretty quick.
  6. Front spindle trouble after 1 leveling kit

Correct. They work on damaged or dirty threads. It does take a little longer but you don't risk starting the die crooked and making it worse. Napa usually has the in stock...
  7. Front spindle trouble after 1 leveling kit

I like thread files. A much more cost effective solution and you'll have them for next time.
  8. can i make/use a plain old metal key?

It's similar to the way that chip in your credit card works. No battery in a transponder key.
  9. Backfiring after installing K&N filter

Severe air restrictions in the intake will cause a backfire. Edit. You can never have to much airflow but not enough is a big problem.
  10. Hitch pin lock

I fill mine with grease, lock cylinder and all. Makes them last a lot longer.
  11. tail gate bolt hell

Yep that's the one. Some quality extractors, my snap-on impact screwdriver and a little heat has rarely failed me. Great for knocking stuff loose and rarely slips.
  12. tail gate bolt hell

You would need to find out if the nut is steel or aluminum. I use map gas. If it's steel heat until it smokes. Aluminum just a heat gun is safe.
  13. tail gate bolt hell

I would suggest removing the tail light to try and heat the nuts from behind. This will soften any loktite. I would then use an impact screwdriver to attempt removal of the bolts while still hot.
  14. Coolant Temp Getting Hot? Any AZ Drivers?

Spin at a high speed at idle. Both have their tradeoffs.
  15. Did my own oil change with an unexpected find

20 ft lbs is 240 in lbs. I'm not sure a torque screwdriver is going to cut it for this.
  16. Rough Country Rear Differential Skid Plate Works!

I pulled up the instructions and torque spec for that 3/8 bolt is 30 ft lbs not 130. Using a 9/16 socket is not a 9/16 bolt... The did write it in a confusing way.
  17. Transmission is leaking...again!

And a 10R140 used in the Superduty. ?
  18. Slow Coolant Leak?

Does it have the old orange coolant in it? Orange was bad about evaporation. Edit. I woul just watch it. If it stays at the minimum line I wouldn't worry about it.
  19. Mexican? Ranger with Texas plates in 2016

I've seen at least 2 of these recently near San Antonio with Texas plates.
