My current rides
The T7 loaded up for 10 days up the James bay hwy in northern Quebec
The mighty DR bush pig, Ive put over 100,000kms on DRs still love this bike. Seen here on the Hatfield-McCoy trails in WV in April.
Great thread guys!, I started off in the 70s as a kid riding my cousins honda 50s and xr75s, in the 80s I had some dirt bikes, a YZ125 and then a CR125. first street bike in the late 80s was a Yamaho 550 maxim(dog) after that I was off bikes for a while focusing on cars and life.
Got back into...
Yup, I had a thread on it way back in 2019, towing my sled trailer on a nasty windy day and the drivers would fold in when a transport blew by, not every time, but most. Lariat auto folding mirrors and strap on trailer mirrors.
Since then Ive just taken to putting some heavy duty tarp/hockey...
Definitely glass packing from somewhere, havent noticed any sound change and so far no more has appeared.
Truck is well used, got it early Jan. 2019, around 76,000km on her now, no other issues so Im not very concerned at this point, appreciate everyone's input!
I fear the mighty 2.3 turbo has inhaled a small pony and is now depositing its remains out the tail pipe! :giggle:
Seriously, I assume this is some form of glass packing from somewhere in the exhaust , anyone else seen this?
OK, here we go.
84 Ranger "Explorer"
87 Ranger STX, with many others
92 Explorer
2001 Sport Trac
Straying a bit, 2010 Sport Trac
Funny, just noticed all but the 84 have the same lic. plate that I now have on the 2019, lol!
I believe it was 2009, I did it going down, back to town. It was a bit gnarly but not too bad, sounds like its much different now, got some looks from the pink jeep guys.
Beauty area, did a bunch of hiking and forest service roads there and on the Mogollan rim area. Amazing the differences in...
Its pretty basic, but I have some old legs cut out of a pair of cotton coveralls that I wrap around the straps where they touch the paint, used them for years on many different trucks, basic but works.
Thanks for the reply's, good to see some others solutions, I just did black bedliner on my silver Frontier then painted over so when that wore through it kinda looked like crap, as you say, " It looked amateur, but that's because it was"
I,ll have to look at it again once it warms up...
Being as Im old and dont know what a "roller skate setup" is, Id say I dont have that, lol. I can be a bit negative at times though:wink:
Yes on the tires, Falken wildpeaks on stock rims.
I guess its just me? Weird that the exact same thing has happened to my last 2 trucks also.
I have mud flaps and maybe having rock chucking tires does not help, but these Wildpeaks have only been on a month or so, rest was with the stockers........ running boards maybe?
