I am not super impressed with the A/C in this truck. Been dealing with 110+ temps here in Vegas lately and I have to have it at FULL blast to keep me comfortable. Not the worst, but definitely not the best. I don't think there's anything wrong with my A/C, just not as good as it could be IMO.

It's funny that the A/C in my wife's Tucson is actually better than my Rangers. Hers takes a little longer to get going, but man once it gets going its ICE cold, and she has 60K miles on it.
Not impressed with the AC in 2021 Lariat.

Hey everyone, OP back. Sorry the thread got a little off topic. I started reading several threads on the F-150 forums, and they've had complaints about Ford AC going back a ways, also they created resistors to fool the truck to blow colder. Not sure if that's an option.

Where I am at today:
I had a second dealer take a look. They again said the A/C was in spec according to Ford guidelines. They did not charge me anything but I came away unsuccessful.

My truck ac vent temp does not go under 50 degrees. I have purchased a brand new dial thermometer from AutoZone and calibrated it. With a modern vehicle, I'm hoping to get at least closer to 40 at the vent.

A small thing I noticed. I have the 8in touchscreen. Going in and manually selecting the top vent, and after selecting the floor vents (both on at the same time) the vent door makes a binding sound. Not sure if that's normal. It also drops the vent temp about 5 degrees. I will be going back to the dealer next Friday, now that I can replicate this sound.
Short video of noise

Have you tried MAX AC? I think that closes of the supply of hot water into the climate control, or at least did on older Fords. If on MAX AC air blows at 40-50deg, that should rule out blend door problems.

Just drove to work, had Max a/c on the entire commute. 52 degrees at the vent. 87 degrees, 37% humidity.

I was driving around earlier this afternoon in 96F, 50% humidity weather - my Ranger's HVAC will cool beer. Have you had yours checked out?

I don’t like that it almost doesn’t cool while idling. Understandable but my 97 Ranger HVAC preformed better.

Joe here the same. Outside readying was 100 degrees very humid, as I have stated in the past you can hang meat in the truck. When it's that hot out & I can keep cool I now my A/C is working fine.
I might have missed this due to the length of this thread but is the blend door issue unique to just climate controlled trucks or is some manual controlled having the same issue?
