I didn't even notice that Joe. Heck here with our high heat and with center vents it's still not enough cold air . I wonder how hot that cab is going to be without them now? ?
Looks like there are center vents right below the screen.

Not seeing them. Are they similar to the factory HVAC vents for the 1957-1958 Ford Fairlane?

I believe these are the center vents

Colorado.webp
Dang. Ford's first attempt at factory installed HVAC consisted of 2 swivel vents on each side of the radio speaker in the dash - not able to find images at the moment.

Ford went to a defroster/windshield HVAC setup for 1957-1958 in Fairlanes - 4 seater Thunderbirds and Lincolns from 1958 forward had the (now) conventional 'out board - center vents' with the factory HVAC systems.

Prior to 1957, trunk mounted fan/evap HVAC units were the norm, with roof and/or package tray vents. Automotive HVAC progressed greatly during the 1960s....

Here's a better shot of them

I actually like them better there than up on the face by the screen. They blend in (obviously most of us missed them. lol) and I think you could angle them better on your body. Here that's important with the sun beating on you.

Well if it has an ACC box that doesn't warp I don't care if they stick the vents where the sun doesn't shine, vents position low = expedient fart removal so anyone in the vehicle won't be able to readily detect the source.

Remains to be seen whether that 2.7 4 banger comes with an engine cover although current chevy's do .

Also I believe at one time the Silverado 2.7t required premium gas, but doubt that will be the case in the lower output variants.

just need to install a ceiling fan to push that hot air down to mix with cold air from the vents. just as you capitalized on the Ranger damper void - this may be an opportunity for your company, I only want a $2 per unit royalty for the idea.

I'm looking forward to seeing one in person and taking it for a test drive. I had a Colorado ZR2 before the Ranger Tremor. Not sure if I would go for another off road packaged truck, but who knows. They took a few queues from the Ranger on the redesign. Four wheel drive selector location for one. The 8 speed auto combined with the torque curve of the turbocharged engine should be really nice. Honestly, I'd prefer the 8 speed to the 10 speed in the Ranger as the 8 speed didn't do the skip shifting.

Uh, Mary? You wanted to see me mam?

Yes Bill, I just saw the inventory report and we have all these shortages, but we have a zillion of those 8 spd transmissions? Why is that?

Well mam, the customers found out right away about it and we couldn’t get rid of them, no matter how many classic renditions we tried.

Well Bill, what about using it in one of the new designs?

It will take a heck of a new design to unload all those transmissions, mam.

Make it so Bill.

Seems like Bill did a pretty good job. Overall.

The 8 speeds did earn their claim to fame in 2017 and 2018. The 2019 I had received the new transmission fluid as part of delivery and it was always smooth. The 3.6 V6 engine in front of it though didn't make much torque down low where it needed it. I'll get rocks thrown at me, but I would say the 8 speed shifted smoother than our 10 speeds do.

I think I'm starting to like the medicated version of Bill better. ?

Yawn. No center dash vents? The NWO is already dictating GM design policy?

And a single grab handle on the passenger side. I thought the Ranger was that way because it started out as a right-hand drive truck. Maybe not.
