Well I hate to admit it but I really like it. The Desert Boss is a bit much with the roll bar and light bar. I'm curious to see if the Trail Boss will be available with LED lighting.

But at the end of the day I just don't know if I could bring myself to own a GM product.

Only comes in crew cab, and one engine (4 cylinder 2.7 turbocharged), other interesting features.

Good looking truck. Plus, front and rear lockers available.

Looks like a proper 4 door to me. Is it possible GM just uses the term differently? That is, GM's crew cab might be what Ford calls Super Crew.

The ZR2 I test drove was pretty nice. The inside was very outdated and then I read all about the transmission. It's to bad they kept the same trans because it would definitely get a second look from me.

Wow, that is a smokin hot truck. I really like it.

Interior is nice. I like that the center console/stack looks to have larger switches/buttons. I also like that it appears to be leveled. I am sure that is marketing photo's only... but looks good.

That is one thing that surprises me about the Ranger is how small all the buttons are. I feel they were designed for the hands of yard gnomes. Not complaining... I love my ranger... just sayin...

That engine should be pretty sweet. I also agree with the concern about the 8speed tranny. I know they fixed since issues on the previous gen, but it is a GM so who knows.



I do find it funny that most midsized trucks take design cues getting the new Taco... But I feel like the Colorado looks more like the 5th gen Ranger than the new 6th gen Ranger.

I drove one last year too. It was nice but did feel dated and vanilla.

And surprised they are keeping the 8sp. Word round the campfire is it would get the 10sp.

Leaning that way too. Not a fan of this trend of beadlock capable wheels either. Yeah they serve a purpose. But not for everyone.

I didn't even notice that Joe. Heck here with our high heat and with center vents it's still not enough cold air . I wonder how hot that cab is going to be without them now? ?

If I read that right, it only comes with the 5' bed too. Thats a dealbreaker.

To me it looks like a 5th Gen 4Runner. Not crazy about the looks, but its an improvement from their current gen.
