I also had the same issues as David had. I used the thick seal as well and the front of mine by the back window sounds the same as what yours is doing, maybe not as bad. I have learned to just live with it. I think in time it will smooth out better. Mine stays in the garage most of the time...

I have a 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat. I can't find the tire pressure for the 4 wheels on the instrument panel anywhere, I see it on my ford app. Am I missing something?
