Ok Folks....Sad story.... 1st wife got hooked on cocaine. Was a pathological lair, A gambler. Supplied drugs to my kid and his buddies to be the "Cool Mon". Turns out she liked girls...not men... 33 years of Hell. My mom told me "for better or worse"... I got worse... So December 2002....My Mom died, My dog died, I retired and my wife left me for her GF as she is not straight. Secrete credit cards, bank accounts and gambling debts to the Detroit Mafia. Almost $500,000 up her nose... left me for her girlfriend lover. Blessing.... Secret debt was assigned by judge to her but still six figure settlement which she took to Las Vegas with her GF and over several months blew the whole amount.

My kid, thanks to her is a druggie... So turned off by marriage I swore it off but met Margie and she is the light of my life....Things got good.

20/20 hindsight...Never should have caved to the pressure of her father and mother to marry her. Never stuck it out for 33 years of hell... (thanks Mom)...

So, wonderful 17 years with Margie....twists and turns of life.

What for? The day I got married (51 years ago next week) I had to borrow a car for a weekend getaway and our $300 in cash from wedding gifts was the most money I had ever seen in one pile up to that point.... We literally budgeted to the penny for the first couple of years.

LOL I actually wrote "Freedom" on the memo line of the bank draft when I paid off my second ex.

I am not sure what she did with her end but she didn't seem to spend much of anything on the kids. Like Phil, I finally found my girl and she is awesome and I have no desire to be anywhere else in life.

And the reason I despise the judicial divorce system in Georgia is she got half the equity based on the mediation date (May 2022), not the date she walked out the door (Oct 2021). So not only does she get to unjustly reap the benefit of the housing market increases over half a year, she also gets to benefit from the $10,000 in mortgage paid by me alone since she left.

My home value increased nearly $40,000 since she walked out. That is bullshit.

If I went to court I probably could have successfully got the system to lower her half based on the previous year date, but there was real concern about her manipulating a jury even with no proof of wrong doing.

When my EX walked out on me I wasted no time in getting a Legal Separation filed, which effectively stopped her accrual of any property value increase. I ended of buying her out by taking over the bills (she was high maintenance), giving her the Corvette and 20K in cash from the house. No investments or retirement, and no alimony. She was broke again in 18 months!

Funny how that works, my ex-wife found out about my new girlfriend a few days after I it sort of wasn't kept low key anymore. Hmm, I'm not friends with you on social media so why are you creeping, or getting someone to creep me. Then she wants to talk about having am amicable non-marriage relationship, but at the same continue to be annoying.

That was about the time I wanted to say... "Look, I upgraded to a bigger tits trim level. Sorry, but not sorry."

I didn't say that. I wanted to, but I didn't. One of the few rare times in life I acted like a mature adult.

I hated it.
