Thanks Brian! I'll tell her but I think right now she's feeling no pain after we had a couple Strawberry Margaritas with dinner. We're both not really big drinkers at all anymore but I thought this would help her relax and sleep better tonight. The first one was so good we just had to get another one. ?

Come on, Dave! We don't want a picture of your Shirly Temple, we want to see a picture of you and your GF!

Just catching up on this thread. Looks like a great trip! I would love to do a trip like that someday. I look forward to more pics.

Sorry about your GF's injury. My wife is similarly klutzy, and on top of that, she bruises so easily that we joke that she would bruise in a strong wind or even when you just look at her the wrong way.

Keep the shiny side up!

Dave is coming for a visit and I don't know how to act....lol

Man, is he in for some fun staying at papaw's house....

Don't worry, we'll feed him and the Mrs. well and take good care of them....

They are coming into Northern Colorado this Thursday evening, were taking Friday off and going to take them to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park before they head south to Blackhawk Friday evening.....Looking forward to meeting "King Damper" in person....
I might be up for a cruise into Estes on Friday. You guys maybe want to get together for lunch?

Or Dave, maybe Ranger5g Casino night in Blackhawk? Of course if we did that we'd have to get @NotBudule a flight out here.

Mark was a week off so I'll be up there late next Thursday the 16th just for the night. Once it gets closer we'll have to see if we can plan something out.

It would almost be worth me paying for the plane ticket to get @NotBudule or NotRobert or whatever his name is today out there. Although now that I'm thinking of it Doug, he's probably already at the casino in Blackhawk now. ?

Sounds good.

I'm sure it's just harmless preparation for your stay. Like a Secret Service advanced team. You know, setting up cameras and recording devices in your room. Nothing to worry about. ?

Thanks Phil. Sounds like they're sisters. ? Surprisingly she's walking pretty good today, still very sore and swollen but it's good to get out and walk and keep it from freezing up.
Seems like we got a club of women that fall down. Mine does too. I wonder…

Went out on a nice drive down CO Raod 204 today right here in Durango. It's called the Colorado Trail which is basically a fire road which makes it's way up to 10,000' in elevation. There's several lookouts along the way and Animas Lookout is a nice one about half way up.

I figured it would give Annie more time to relax and ice her knee and there's some really nice views along the way. There's also 6-8 spots where you can pull off and camp/boondock so it might be a great spot for anyone looking for a nice place away from it all for a day or two.

This is about half way up at Animas Lookout.

Nothing difficult but there's a good 1,000' + drop off over these edges.

Views from the top at just over 10,000'. Days like this make me miss being back in New England up in the mountains of New Hampshire and Northern Maine.

One of the camping spots along the way. Some have great lookouts with views for miles!

Also, wanted to throw this out for when you're up around Blackhack/Golden.

Checkout the SpyderCo factory outlet. They've got a lot of their stuff and other knifemakers as well. Good deals, good people, great knives.

Thanks Doug. They're supposed to be really great quality from what Ive heard. Funny because after washing the truck we stopped back in downtown Durango because Annie wanted to grab a gift for someone. Well I found this knife there so she bought it for me as an early birthday present. I have a .22 wheel gun with American Flag grips in a glass display case back home and this will go perfect with it. This one wasn't all that expensive but I know some (which are much better quality) can go for some big $$$.??
