Washed Pepper today, after my trip to Pittsburgh picked up a bunch of bugs, and Covid! Came home last Wednesday and on Friday had a sore throat, so I took my first ever home test, and it was -. ? On Saturday felt a little worse, with a cough and slight fever, so took another test and, darn, it was +. ? Overall it's like a cold, the sore throat is hanging on almost a week now...but the worst is my wife tested + yesterday, so she'll be isolating for 10 days too. ☹ On the bright side, at least I didn't need fellow member @JohnnyO in Pittsburgh!
Hope you get better soon Trevor! I'm still dealing with some lingering effects from having it last summer. ?

Got to wait for more vinyl to come in to finish the frame parts, but I think my faux leather is coming in today for the tops. I also got some cabinet magnets coming to help with any millimeter slop in the door and frame when closed. (prevent rattling)

Got one lock installed and testing the gas strut.

Edit: Yup my pleather came in. Did a little, but wait till morning gotta get ready for work.

Sort of my first attempt at upholstery work, it came out ok but I need to clean up the inside. Or hide it lol

Got 2 front side windows tinted to match the factory tint.
Also got the entire front windshield tinted 70% to reduce glare and heat.

Looks much better.

Can you post a picture of windshield. I am debating on this when I get my Fronts done to match factory rears.

Sure, ill take a pic tomorrow if i can remember. Its hard to see 70% tint even with naked eye. Its hardly noticeable but drastically redices glare and UV light

Hey Trevor, I’m really very glad you’re doing well with it and that overall, your case is like a cold. Others, not so much. I hope you and your wife recover fully and very quickly with no long term effects. Our own @AzScorpion still has some tough days 8-9 months later and I know others who are struggling two years later. ?? Fingers crossed!

I’m diggin’ this Jack. A lot! Take a peak under just about any upholstered chair and you’ll find a great way to tidy that up.

Looks great.

Oh, are those hockey pucks?

I sprayed my side vents with that "Dip your Ride" rubberized spray about a year ago. After many carwashes it was starting to peel off badly (still took me 2 1/2 hours to peel it all off). I decided to go with paint this time. I did a much better prep from what I've learned since the original job. I made sure to scuff well with a scotchbrite pad and apply 3 coats of a plastic adhesion promoter. Anyway, 5 coats of satin black followed by 5 coats of 2K matte clear coat has them looking wonderful. Hopefully they hold up better this time

Haha no. They are rubber feet often used by large music speaker manufacturers.

Good for you! I'm the Last Responder.
I've had 16 "customers" with the 'Rona and only 2 were younger than 70 and both of them had other serious health issues. Only those 2 plus 2 more, 4 total, did not live in nursing homes.
Wife and I both had the 'Rona in January. Was like a bad cold for five days but then I had a cough that I couldn't shake for a month.
At least she got it first so she couldn't blame me.

Today, I installed the hot side of my aFe charge pipes. I attempted the passenger (cold) side. The cold side is being a little b*tch. (Well... I gave up, so I guess I'm being the little b*tch  )

I'll try again on the cold side in a week or so, when I get some time off work. Someone posted in another thread about a YouTube video where the installer loosened the IC to give the system some play, but didn't post a link to the video. I searched for it, but couldn't find it. Boooooooo.

Good luck with the rest of the project. Sometimes just taking a break and trying it at a later date is all that you need.
