That's what I don't understand either. They're giving us top dollar for ours, so much it's worth selling them and I'm surprised someone would pay even more for them. I guess if you're in need of a vehicle or you just don't want to wait months for one to be built it's the only option but it's still crazy money.
The real money isn’t made on the vehicle selling price, it is the financing. They just need a “unit” to jump start interest bearing annuity.

That makes a lot of sense now Chris. Plus I forgot that Driveway is owned by Lithia Motors, the 3rd largest dealership group in the US. With all the dealerships they own (180) they can place my Jeep and anyone else's vehicle anywhere in the country that has a high demand for that unit. Now with internet rates rising they'll make even more on the financing.

Maybe when your Bronco comes Dave, this color option will be available.

I personally would do this is a heart beat if i had one coming.

I've never been into multi colored vehicles or ones with large stripes. I would love to get a Lightning blue one but they were limited to the 2021 First Editions so I'm sticking with my original color...OJ White. With the windows tinted dark (like my Jeep) they look sleek and clean and super easy to take care of.

Can't blame you for cashing out.

Did you ever get the top off at least?
I've had the front two freedom panels off since the day I got it but I never had the chance to completely take the whole top off. Now that the weather is getting hotter here I probably wouldn't have taken it off until late September.

We like our Bronco so much that once things calm down will be ordering a more " Loaded" model going forward. My F150 Lariat is suppose to be in production this month for delivery.

That's great to hear Dar! I know there have been quite a bit of issues with them (along with all the others) but in todays world sadly it's almost expected. I know I could probably get one sooner if I changed it to a 2dr but I really have no need for a 4dr and I personally like the look of the 2dr hardtop better.

I don't have to deal with the heat you do, so I might be talking out of my ass. But Jeeps should be mostly top less (I'll allow a bikini for us fairer folks) April 15th to Oct 15th.

If I could handle a 38° drive the other morning with just a bikini and windows up, surely you can handle a little heat?

Perhaps you'll come around by the time the Bronco comes in.

And don't cave for the lifted Flex, I mean 4 Dr Bronco. You've held out this long. At least build the one you want.

I do agree Jeeps and Bronco's should be topless as long as possible. Here our seasons are reversed from most of the country where summers are just to darn hot, 112 is no joke even with a bikini top on. Heat your oven to 450, put a fan near you and now open it up, that's what it feel like. lol

Sure early mornings and nights aren't as bad but in August it'll still be 106 at 10:00 pm. So late September through the end of May is our prime season. It really does get cold in the desert (low 30's are common) in the winters but the days warm up nice.

It's 2dr or nothing! :like:

Our neighbor was able to source a new one in a month by getting it with stick shift! LOL... Makes it hard to steal as hardly anyone besides us older crowd know how to drive a stick!! Most of the issues come from the 2.7 engine it seems and why it has problems with our 2.3 engine is a mystery to me. We have had no problems nor know of anyone else that has other than bitching about the useless back up camera when it rains. We are very glad we got the 4 door versus the 2 door now that we have lived with it for a period of time now.

I'll have a good idea how I like them when we meet up next month. You can try it out and see if you like them, we won't tell your wife though. ?

That's great for your neighbor.

But it's yet another reason I say "fuck a Bronco."

Ford stated in no uncertain terms that ALL customer orders would be fulfilled before ANY dealer stock is delivered. Fast forward 2 years and that has proved to not only be a falsehood, it's an outright lie.

I've never ordered a vehicle before. The Bronco would've been my first. And that experience had soured me. Now Ford wants to change the majority of new purchases to orders and expect people to accept that, when Ford has proven they can't handle it.

After trying to purchase a Bronco I don't think I'll ever be comfortable "ordering" a new vehicle.

I'd still be waiting like Dave had I gone through with my order. AND there isn't a mass produced vehicle alive worth waiting 3 years for.

Also, trusting a modern Ford/Getrag transmission is foolish at best. ;)

Hope those synchros last for him.

you got my vote on the two door, love the look. The way everyone is complaining about Ford and the orders is that shit is happening to everybody nobody is immune to the insanity. This might be the new norm. I guess I’m one of the odd ones, if I have to wait I’m ok, just make sure I get it.
