8500miles on a 2021 tremor leveled with 265/70/17

I've never seen over 16 mpg avg on a tank of gas. I can see that it has the capability of doing better when I hit the freeway, but that's a small fraction of my daily driving. I tried 87 octane and 91 which is the highest I can get in Vegas. No change.

Opinion: I don't believe ford's estimate is accurate. For the tremor it was 19 city 19 hwy. I find some of the claims of 23+ hard to believe especially those running 285/70/17 and up. Its most likely someone resetting there MPG before a long stretch of flat on cruise control.

Anyways it's a truck and I'm gonna put bigger tires on it regardless. I came from jeeps I'm used to crappy gas milage.
Mine did improve to those numbers when i put the bed cover on, then that went away when i threw on 33s. Went to slightly worse than what i was getting stock, but still 19 per computer, 18ish handcalc'd.

Adjusted tire size and ford tune im getting 20 avg now.
Adjusting tire size made my mpg during acceleration waaaay worse, but cruising made my mpg better, guess that makes sense.
GPS seems to be spot on, give or take 1mph. My main enemy is wind, can get upwards of 23mpg on hwy goin 80, then like 14mpg going 75. Generally get 20+ hwy under 80 consistently though. Stop & go it absolutely plummets.

Mine is stock & I'm getting an average of 18mpg. This winter a few tanks were 15mpg?
I did manage a few tanks in the summer of 23/24mpg but these were all highway.
Any mixed driving is 18mpg, no idea how people seem to get over 20 on mix driving?
BTW, IIRC, I was 16/17mpg for first few tanks, give it a few months.

If you got bigger tires, did you get your Speedo recalibrated or re-selected to see the rotations differently? If not you could be getting 1 to 2 MPG better than it looks.

FWIW - I'm STILL try'na get Ford to do this for me but DAYUM Ford Service is a PITAto deal with some times. BJ Dunn at Bell Ford in Phoenix told me that just expecting them to return a phone call after three calls in two weeks was expecting too much and that I should move to California.
Damn! Well that's a bold @$$ response from a dealer. While I understand the current climate, customer service SHOULD STILL BE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sounds like that guy needs a bit of "retraining".

Not to start another thread here, but does this forum have a list or area to post positive or negative feedback with certain dealerships? Dealers you want to deal with vs dealers to avoid??

I have a Tremor and love almost all of it with only small issues like the parking brake cover.

I get better than advertised. I get 20.5 over the promised 19/19.

It hates a lead foot and city driving. It loves the highway 65/75 mph. It also loved adaptive cruse control. When I bought this truck, I promised to drive it gently. So, I am rarely in the fast lane, almost always driving the speed limit.

I do notice when I am driving my wife around town on stop and go streets on the weekend completing my to-do list I have been given, I do get poor gas milage. I will never admit that my wife causes that however.

I drive about 50 miles a day during the week and love the handling, gas mileage, and comfort. Mine really turns heads and is fun to drive. For the year that I have owned her, I always still look back as I leave her every time.

Same, I'm getting 22 mpg on rolling rural backroads with a light foot. Leveled and 265 too, 15k miles.

Remember to adjust your speedo for bigger tires otherwise your mpg will be artificially low.
I'm assuming the dealer readjusted the speedo. I did check the speedo with a phone app and there was a .5 difference so that makes me believe they did indeed readjust the speedo.

How!? I have the same setup and the best I get is 17, maybe 18
Wow Steve you must have a heavy right foot. lol I really have no idea how I get such good mileage and I'm not all that light on the pedal either. I do a mix of city (60%) highway (40%) driving and still average 22 mpg. If you scroll through my sig you can see my Gasbuddy app where I've tracked it since new.

I was originally seeing 23 until I adjusted. Now my manual calculations match up. Now getting 20.5.

This is when I wish I still had my sport bikes! IIRC there's something like 167 corners from Jerome - Prescott.

Now the real question...

How many have fired up forsan and re-enabled ASS for that extra mpg?

I still think it is BS I have to get all the lung cancer from living this close to the refineries (Houston) but our prices don't really reflect that much of a discount for less transportation cost. Except for the west coast people.... yikes.

Funny you mentioned this...I've been thinking about undoing this for a while now since I've settle in two drive modes...S mode, don't care about mpg and prefer quick response off the light...sometimes in slow traffic or stuck in drive though I select auto/tow, I like to have ASS back for mpg gain...for now, I find myself shutting off the engine to save gas...

Easy on the refinery. I'm an operator at one. You will be alright, no worries. Dunny you mention forscan. I disabled ASS at 300 miles. Just don't see it being healthy for the starter long term.

90% of my family works at one of the plants. I was the weird one that went Army instead of wearing nomex all the time.
