Funny you should say that.

They theorized it was possible and using the 2.3 EB instead of the 2.0.

That said, I'm waiting for the hybrid to be available with AWD and hoping that they'll put in a bigger screen to take up the space wasted by that big hole on the right.

May be waiting a while as the order banks are closed until mid-2022.

The only new Ranger I might be interested in would be the new upcoming (possibly...maybe) Godzilla version. It will make the Raptor and Tremor versions "little wussies" by comparison.

Let’s just lay it out there. The maverick is a crossover with a bed… it’s not a truck and will never amount to much offroad unless we are talking about driving on a dirt road. Customers are going to get fooled into thinking they bought some type of off road performance vehicle.

The Bronco Sport and the Jeep Cherokee are both FWD based crossovers and they can both be optioned to be very competent off road vehicles. Quite sure if the Bronco Sport can get it done off road the Maverick can too. Certainly isn't going to be a high speed desert runner like a Raptor or a rock crawler like a Bronco or Wrangler, but certainly could go anywhere 90% of the Ranger owners take their Rangers.

No kidding. I am still mad about that. I don't like the Maverick name on that truck either. Their marketing team has no imagination.

There was another picture floating around of a white version that looked actually pretty good. Like a mini F150.

like i said in another thread, if the fiesta comes back in a fx4 ...
and yes the electric mini van "mustang" E, i dont care how fast it is, is just plain stupid. they could have named it anything but that. in several years the "E" will be at the same status as the mustang2. collectible oddity.

Perhaps the Mach-E should have actually been called the Maverick. It actually looks more like a Mav than the Mach-E looks like a Mustang. Not to mention the Mav naming was not a truck either. Not bashing on the vehicles, just the names.

What you guys are missing with the Mach E is that Ford is moving towards Mustang and Bronco being their own brand.

Following their logic, the Maverick should've been called the Bronco Sport Truck, seeing how it's based on the same platform. I, however feel it should've been called the "Ranchero," but I can understand that's probably a no-no now.

But yes, their marketing teams are all over the place.


Ohh and as a former FiST owner, I'd be soo down for a FiFX-4. As long as it was similar to this...
