Swapped my spacer level for new KING Coilovers

Needed another inch up front for some rough overlanding on my 285s. Rather than swap out the spacer for a 2" decided to up the perfromance and added King Extended adjustable Coil-overs. Quite happy now, makes potholes feel like pebbles.
The truck is now perfectly level with no mods to the back. I might add a small spacer in the back to bring back a slight rake, in the future.

Nice, i know Kings run a bit stiffer than the Fox's, but how do they compare to the factory 2.0s?
Edit: Would you say this is noticeable improvement over the 2.0s for daily driving and offroad (last part is probably obvious but figure id ask anyway).
Also are they noisier? On my brothers raptor when he switched from the 2.5s to the 3.0s, they produced some clunks going over bumps, better performance, but the sound produced was a weird change.

Definately a noticeable improvement over 2.0s. I read Kings are more stiff also but the ride is less harsh onroad than the factory 2.0s.
I have not noticed any noise from the shocks on-road. Have not tried them off-road yet.

Essentially , the spacer sits on top of your coil over increasing lift impacting extension geometry of the shock. Up to 2" spacer has been generally observed as not impacting stock ride too much (some say stiffer). Aftermarket coil-over shocks replace your existing and come adjustable up to 3" of lift or leveling. This is gained without compromising the performance of the shock /coilover. General feedback of aftermarket replacement coilovers (ICON, Billstein, Fox, King, etc.) against stock and FX 4 suspensions is a noticeably improved ride.

The thing about Kings are you can order with three different spring rates and most big shops who install can actually valve the shocks based on prefered driving . I have a straight stock set( although extended version) and I find they are soft compared to the factory fox 2.0s my tremor came with, however mine are adjustable so will be playing with that soon to stiffen them up.

My rear icon 2.5's are stiff as hell going slow with the compression on soft. The rebound was super slow so I had the rebound shims adjusted for a quicker rebound. I usually drive with speed so once the initial force needed to move the shock is intimated the shock is super plush and absorbent. But going slow you feel everything. It's my trade off to go on jumps off-road.

My front icon 2.5's soak up everything at every speed but that's because I have long travel arms, idk how they feel with stock arms.

Which model did you go with? These are won my list of changes I want to make, but I want to make sure that the regular ranger/FX4 coils will be enough to raise my ranger more

Hey there, I got the extended version as it was the only one I could find given the huge backlog here for KIng Shocks, or any 2.5s for that matter. Model specifically is :
25001-386A-EXT the stock spring rate is 600

Could you please detail what do you actually mean with the part in bold? Unless I miss something essential, the geometry changes as much as it does with a coilover at the same lift and the strut is virtually unchanged with the spacer compared to the stock, except longer. Yes, arms geometry change as they are angled down, but how is that different from a coilover with a lift?
