Went out to Fish Creek wash. GF actually gave the idea to off-road for thanksgiving break, she generally does not enjoy it too much. Found out she does not like 40mph+ slip n sliding on dirt trails on 2WD. Palms were sweaty(seriously), weak knees, arms were heavy for her. She knows she will have to get used to it though since I enjoy it so much <3

I took her to hunting camp. It's been dry here in the U.P. so not much mud to run through on the way up today but the ride is much better with the Ford tuned Fox shocks. Hands down beats the FX4 stock shocks.

Good luck hunting. Looks like a very nice camp you have. Enjoy.

Hi Guys, I realise I'm quoting a year old post here, but I want this exact grill, in this colour, only problem is, I'm in Australia and I don't even know if it would fit our spec Rangers (non-Raptor). But, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with a couple of questions and in return, I'll answer any questions anyone has about Aussie spec Rangers, well, any that I can anyway.

Here goes:

- Is this an OEM grill? I assume it is.
- Does it come painted on this model, or was this custom painted? I.e. can I buy one the same, in the same colour?
- Would anyone with this grill, in any colour, mind supplying some dimensions so I can see if it might fit mine?
- Lastly, would anyone who has replaced this grill with another model, entertain the thought of selling, including postage to Aus? (Assuming it fits). Big ask I know, but you never know, with how much you guys in the States seem to love your FORD (Raptor) grills, someone might have one sitting around, surplus to requirements, and have a sense of humour.

My grill looks about the same, but chrome and this colour would match my wheels (I hope). Not my car, but same grill.

Would also help me work out if my RANGER lettering on the grill is the same size, so I can order those inserts you guys love so much.

Any help, much appreciated and sorry for the thread hijack, thanks.

And if you're wondering "WTF, why doesn't he just paint his grill grey, stupid Aussie?!", Well, it's a company car, so I have to be able to return to stock at some point, so I need to keep my grill. Also, I'm also not sure how paint would stick to the chrome and/or matt black plastic. Thanks again.

Hey! I love see these Aussie Rangers, especially with tray beds. I have two suggestions that might save you some money and allow you to get the look you want and still be able to reverse it easily.

Option 1 - "Plastidip" the grill! You can get black pretty easy in most places, but you can also find different grays and such from specialty shops. I did my Mustang's front pony from chrome to flat black using PlastiDip and it came out nice. The best part is when you're done with it, you can just peal it off.

Option 2 - Take it to a vinyl shop and have them remove the grill and wrap it in vinyl. You could get it done in pretty much any color you want and then peal it off with a heat gun (carefully) when you have to turn the "ute" back in.

By the way, here is my Ranger in the USA. Check out the front tag!

Not technically today, but replaced factory Hankooks with Toyo Open Country A/T III in factory size. Noticed loss of MPG with slightly heavier tire (internet says these are 2pbs heavier). Debating switching to a highway tire or keeping them.

Installed the Tremor Fender Flares. Love the new look.

Did you have to take off your wheels/tires for install? I ask because the directions say to do so but it also seemed like it could be done without pulling them.

I know where Fish Creek is. I need to go back. Rode my motorcycle there a few years ago. Great picture!

Thanks OCL! Definitely check out fish creek again, it’s a great one :) also a great area 30 minutes from it is poleline road. Or next to the entrance of fish creek wash on the other side of the train tracks on split mountain road there is BLM shoot spot area too. The whole area is full of good times!
