I don't know if the winter blend has changed yet - it just seems awfully suspect that my MPG seems to have gone down at exactly the same time I got my new tires. I'm taking a longer trip tomorrow -we'll see how that goes. I'm not going to get worked up either way - I really like the Toyos - far superior to the Hankooks.Yes I should've added that too. When we go up north the slightest incline you can see the mpg go down.
I'm surprised your mpg went down so much with those tires. IIRC they're about the same weight as my Nittos and I'm averaging 22 mpg and I have a level too. Has the gas changed over to the winter blend yet? Might be that with the combo of your new tires?
I figure I'll wait until I run 3 or 4 tanks thru to see a pattern - and by then the winter blend will most definitely be in place so maybe I need to wait until spring to make any determinations....
