Yes I should've added that too. When we go up north the slightest incline you can see the mpg go down.

I'm surprised your mpg went down so much with those tires. IIRC they're about the same weight as my Nittos and I'm averaging 22 mpg and I have a level too. Has the gas changed over to the winter blend yet? Might be that with the combo of your new tires?
I don't know if the winter blend has changed yet - it just seems awfully suspect that my MPG seems to have gone down at exactly the same time I got my new tires. I'm taking a longer trip tomorrow -we'll see how that goes. I'm not going to get worked up either way - I really like the Toyos - far superior to the Hankooks.

I figure I'll wait until I run 3 or 4 tanks thru to see a pattern - and by then the winter blend will most definitely be in place so maybe I need to wait until spring to make any determinations....

I wish I was getting 23-24mpgs. My average is between 19.5 and 20.5 in Denver.

After 6k miles on my 2021, I consistently get 25mpg @70mph, 23mpg @80mph, and less than 20mpg @90mph. Also, a 10+mph headwind or uphill will drop it to 18mpg or less. It's either eco or boost I guess. Not both.

i own a 2021 XL FX4 stock EXCEPT i put on cooper discoverer at-4s tires. same exact size as stock. They do weigh 5lbs more per tire than stock. I have 6500 miles. It seems on a long road trip of 200 miles, the best i can get is 23 mpg. This is going 55-70mph and most of those miles 67 mph. Very little stop and go. I do not use the auto start/stop feature. This same route i'd get 21mpg with my xterra with oversized tires and a tune. it was rated 16/21 mpg. I would see 23mpg with it back with stock tires. My patriot, rated at 22/25mpg saw consistent 26.4 on the same trip. And it had heavier tires- by 2 lbs a tire.

i keep seeing people saying on fakevook that they see 29mpg on highway, fx4. Lots of 27mpgs...... Does the 5lbs per tire really eat up 4mpg?

my oil level does rise- fuel in oil- but it's halfway between the high hash and top dot when cold, right below top dot when hot. I can't see that causing my poor mpgs....

i intentionally went with the coopers for their better winter driving characteristics as i go thru mountains alot. and they seem more rugged as far as sidewalls go.

i would expect though to see that 24 or 25mpg when i nurse it on the flat roads...... thoughts?
I have a stock 2020 extended cab FX4, l average 23 mpg locally and 28-30 mpg on road trips. But I drive conservatively and average 65 mph with the cruise control on as much as possible. This vehicle is my weekend ride and use it for vacation trips

First world problems. lol

Best I can get is 16.4 combined.

I’m averaging about 16 miles per gallon (all city miles). The previous owner installed a cold air intake system on it, I’m wondering if that could be the problem.

Yeppers, FX2 here also. First 2wd I've owned that gets worse mpg that it's 4wd version. (As reported on the old innerweb thingy).
Yeah, it's disappointing at the least, and false advertising/defective product; what have you tried so far, to increase mpg?

Tire pressure on the high end. Quality full synthetic oil. Hard tonneau cover. 93 octane (nominal increase in mpg with exponential increase in $/mile. Tow tune, 93 octane tune, 87 octane tune, sport mode, start/stop deactivated.......
Not really overly concerned with it. I'm liking my Ranger more than expected so all is good.

Stock tires/wheels/suspension on my Lariat. No topper. Do have the Ford Ecoboost Performance tune. 93 E0 exlusively at home - add an 'ethanol fixer' when 93 E0 isn't available. Meter average at refueling: fluctuates between high 22 and low 23. Low 400 mile range always available after refueling.

Highest highway average I've noticed to date is 32.1. Going on a lengthy road trip for the holidays - will check mpg closely and report back. Image taken at the North Jetty, Hugenot Park, Jacksonville/Mayport, Florida.

What's the milage on a Bonco Badland with 35" tires?
Sid, here's the MPG chart for every model and both motors with and without the Sasquatch package. The 2.7 gets worse mileage then the 2.3 by 1 mpg.
