Does our version of the 2.3 have this same design flaw? Or has anyone heard of this happening in the Ranger?
Yeah, most of them feel like you are sitting on a rock. For people with bad backs, all these seats put pressure points on different locations on the back, and usually in the wrong place. Yet these dealers always tell me no one else has ever complained, I say "yeah right"....
I also have a bad back and find the Ranger seats oK, not really good but Ok

That looks bad. But a couple things.
1. Did you change the oil or dealer? On my last oil change, dealer filled too high. had to take it back and have them drain some
2. Does it smell like gasoline?
3. Did you let the oil settle for many minutes after running?
The Op stated he had all the accessory lights come on. I believe the issues other members have had, the truck was completely dead. No lights and no indication of power
