Get off the high horse. You commented on my statement, and I asked you to defend it. Obviously you can't because as I said to start, you made assumptions.you guys can nit pick all you want. I dont feel I need to browse for hours longer to convince idiots of basic physics.
you know as well as any third grader, that the addition or removal of anything structural related will have an effect on the overall safety level.
I'm not going to browse European safety sites to try and prove anything, nor will i try an correlate their rating sytems within North America standards...the basic concept stands.
You're more than welcome to remove your bars, there is no law stating they must be installed. just man up when it all goes to hell in a crash.
Yes, I understand that removing a steel tube, also removes the efficacy of that steel beam to block things from passing that spot, but that does not in itself denote a change to the safety rating, or the speak to the accuracy of his words.
